I can tell you this, this place, in my opinion, is a hidden gem. I've been here 3 times, and each time I'm seated promptly, my order's taken, and my food is amazing! It's also a budget friendly restaurant. Don't expect great ambiance, but it's still pretty good. If they'd dim the lights and play soft Mexican music, it'd be very very nice

El Patron is my favorite Mexican place in the Gastonia area. The staff are super nice and also great at serving. Ive never had a bad experience there and would definitely recommend it.
If you haven’t been go check it out! Sit with Victor! He is awesome, super attentive and always kind! He loves to joke with the kids and makes dinner a good time! You won’t leave hungry and not taken care of!

There are lots of Mexican restaurants to choose from. My family seems to all have their favorites. This is definitely tex-mex style of Mexican. I, personally, love this place. My family likes it, but prefers others. Lots of choices, the food is super tasty and I always finish it. Service is quick and friendly. The seating area is a little tight, but they are in a small location and seem to make the most of things. Festive interior- maybe a little overdone. There are other nicer Mexican restaurants, when you are in the mood, but for what it is, it's my favorite.
