I had the raven grits bowl and it was delicious. We ordered from the takeout window. Not sure if they have an inside seating area. Highly recommend!

One of the best breakfast spots in Gastonia. If you like pound cake, always purchase it when she has it. Thank me later ?

I ordered breakfast very excited to taste the Grits since this is my first time ordering. The Grits were very dissatisfying to me, the Grits were more like the texture of soft mashed potatoes I have eaten a lot of grits in my life Harmony yellow all types but I never had grits like this it was just not for me and then I had eggs scrambled with cheese and it tasted like the cheese was not real cheese but a cheese sauce they also need to update the prices on their menu because it was $2 more than what I saw online which was a surprise to me when I got there

I selected a delectable grit bowl, complete with a cooked egg and a savory salmon patty of my choice. In my enthusiasm for salmon patties, I couldn't resist ordering an extra one. The grits, once adorned with a generous dollop of butter and a pinch of salt, achieved perfection. However, I found myself yearning for more eggs; typically, I indulge in three scrambled eggs. The salmon patties, though, stole the show with their abundant flavors that reached their pinnacle when dipped into the creamy grits.I contemplated indulging in a slice of cake, but to my surprise, the sole flavor option available was pumpkin spice. I'd recommend checking out this establishment when you find yourself in Gastonia. #gratuityaddedParking: There is no street parking or attached parking lot. I parked across the street in the lot of another business.

I don’t write reviews for restaurants because I simply don’t care enough to do that. I drive for DoorDash and I always get orders from here and something came over me today and I saw that they had salmon and I was like hmmm ? I follow my gut instinct, called in and got the homestyle breakfast with two eggs, salmon grits and raisin toast. Now I’m very particular about my salmon because the last time I had salmon was from Nikis in Charlotte breakfast restaurant and I only trust them to make good salmon, but baby! Nikki‘s who? Fanny cakes has the best! Salmon I have ever had it taste like they didn’t use no measuring tools they just eyeballed everything and everything was just right lol, the grits were like creamy and me being me I had to put my sugar pack in there( don’t come for me)And I don’t know if you ever been to midnight diner in Charlotte, but is the same consistency of creaminess for the grits but Fanny cakes grits were so much better! About cried, taking my first bite. The eggs didn’t taste like regular eggs. I could tell they didn’t just crack an egg and scramble it and put it in the grill like it was some process some steps on mixing up the eggs I don’t know what but OMG those were the best eggs I ever had the raisin toast didn’t taste like regular raisin toast. It was so sweet and soft and supple. I can’t explain it because I’m a server at waffle house as well on the side and I ate raisin toast at waffle house but it did not taste like waffle house raisin toast. I know this review was long and I know you probably get the point but I promise this review does not do this food justice like you got to go and order something and you see what I mean through this review please just give them a try I promise you you’re gonna be a regular there with them guarantee!

Horrible atmosphere, not modern or inviting. Not open on Mondays? Felt like eating is a plantation kitchen. Wtf

Leaving work this morning I googled “breakfast near me” being a traveling nurse I am unfamiliar with this area…So Fannie Cakes Cafe came up and the stars and reviews led me here…Now when I tell you I was very impressed and felt welcomed with nice greeting and fast service…But once I got to the house and actually tasted the food…THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAD EVER HAD ON THE ROAD AND HAD NOT HAD A BREAKFAST THAT MATCHED MY MOM’s or MY AUNT FLOSSIE’s SALMON PATTIES…HANDS DOWN DON’T BELIEVE ME, GO TRY IT OUT GREAT SERVICE, CLEAN ESTABLISHMENT, and OUTSTANDING BREAKFAST…may see me every morning I work lol

Googled breakfast places in the area and this little hidden gem came up. When you walk in it feels like home and smells like your grandma's house with the wood stove. The food was very good. We had the breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, salmon and potatoes. Also the pancake platter. Everything was great!
