Not what I was expecting from all the hype iv heard over the years. Got the brisket, ribs, and bbq pork. Brisket was very good but bbq pork was dry. When asked if I wanted ribs glazed they didn't advise us that the glazed ribs was with their signature mustard base sauce.... who does mustard base sauce in nc without some kind of heads up. Didn't not eat the ribs. Staff and atmosphere were great, very clean and I nice place.

Am I pushing it to give a place five stars? Yes. I should really go 4.5. What I can say is that this is not only the best BBQ is Gaston County, it ranks near the top in the State of North Carolina. I eat BBQ across the country, and this is worthy of mention anywhere.Meats are nicely smoked, and moist, the sides are great. So far I've only had brisket and pork, both were outstanding. I go for Greens and baked beans always, and they are good here; but would like to try other items. You can get banana pudding as a side.Banana Pudding... Theirs is good maybe 3.5-4.I'm very picky about banana pudding. I always get some if available - a BBQ restaurant is judged by this - , and I make banana pudding also. They could up their banana pudding to move their overall rating to a solid 5-Star. I liked it slightly thicker, creamer... I like Nilla WaffersI'll post pictures later. I need to go back and take some.

Happy overall with our experience here.Fast, friendly, and efficient late lunch.Menu was pretty standard as what one would expect. The sides outshined the proteins. Jalapeño grits and mac-and-cheese were stars.We'll be back next visit to area.
I ordered the brisket sandwich and got chopped brisket on a bun. Which isn't what I was expecting and alot closer to a pulled pork sandwich than brisket which is a shame since it made the brisket dry luckily there was a choice of sauces and they had the good sense to not strictly serve vinegar based bbq which is the norm in in
I was told so many things about this bbq before going. I believe it is just ok bbq for the price. I got a peach cobbler to go and it was tiny compared to other places that are about $1.00 more. Waited over 15 minutes for just my peach cobbler to take to go after I had boxed my food and just sat there waiting. I heard them say they forgot. For one person for a the pork sandwich, yams, water, peach cobbler, and tip it was $19. I wouldn’t get the yams again. Unfortunately that’s a bit expensive for one person’s meal for a lunch.
