Although you can't see the burger, this was delicious! Came in from out of town and wanted a quick bite to go to bring back to the hotel. This hit the spot! The burger was delicious, and the sauce on the burger was extremely yummy! The truffle fries definitely carried a heavy garlic aftertaste, but it was good in the moment haha. I'd highly recommend this restaurant. Although we simply took the food to go, we did not have to step out of our car, and the worker who handled the carry out orders was very attentive and hand delivered the meal to the car.

Service is alright and the bar looks good. I ordered truffle fries and the crawfish potpie, the truffle fries were good but not real truffle, but the potpie. It looked like a plate of mashed carrots ontop of puffpastry, and it tasted just about the same. There wasn't any actual crawfish in it just diced carrots. I sent it back after taking a bite. We got the check and it was the full price including the pot pie. We asked the waiter if we could get the pot pie removed from the check, but the waiter told us we'd only get 20% off the total order. When we got the corrected check it wasn't 20% off the order, but 20% extra to the waiters tip. We just paid and left.

Co-workers had been recommending this for a while and it is definitely worth checking out as soon as you're able to. The value of this place is amazing for the quality/quantity of food you get. Along with amazing service. Went with my wife, sister, and 2 kids (niece and nephew) and my sister couldn't have been happier because she bought a burger for the kids to split and our waiter offered to make it 2 separate burgers vs cutting in half since it was a double patty originally. Fantastic service, rotating menu, great value, great taste and cook of all the food we ordered. The atmosphere was awesome as well with good design with thoughts to acoustics so it wasn't too loud even in a smallish area.Only thing that wasn't amazing was the tres leches cake. But that's probably because I'm comparing it to the daughter of a native mexican's version in california with the freshest ingredients which was lighter and more moist. But my sister and her kids who had never had tres leches cake loved it. I also thought the crawfish roll could have used more meat, but I'm nitpicking at this point.The point is go here if you haven't been you shouldn't be disappointed.
We had a large group reservation with family and friends coming from out of town. We only had about an hour to find a reservation and we're met with multiple restaurants who would not only not take reservations, but also could not guarantee we would sit together.Finally, after calling 1618, we were met with the most pleasant individual who was not only accommodating, but completely understanding of our last minute ordeal. The staff at 1618 were kind enough to set a table up for us, as well as provide some of the best service we've had in this era of the virus.The only issues we had were some of the chicken wrap chicken having been a little too dry, but the quality of the various other meals ordered across the 12-person party were done so well, especially at their price point, more than excused the chicken as something safely chalked up to an anomaly.If you happen to be in the area, this is a darn good option for any event. Try the Crawdad Roll and Truffle Fries if it strikes your fancy. It's amazingly good.Make sure to say hey to Jake; he was great and really helped us out on anything he needed.

We had the most exceptional experience dining at 1618 last weekend.They have a whole process set up to protect from COVID. Best I have seen at any restaurant. And the food is always amazing. I enjoy trying something new every time!

1618 Downtown has always been awesome! They are closed this weekend due to mechanical issues, so I chose to support and order a few things for pick up. The ordering was easy and seamless, the pick up was on time, quick, Covid safe. And everything I got was absolutely delicious, and champagne pre-chilled! Great experience and great customer service.

Had dinner during the Open Downtown over the summer. Good set up along the street for open air and enough distance amongst tables. Menus were available online via QR code which makes things easier. Order: -Truffled Pommes Frites: spicy ketchup, honey parmesan aioli -Mojo Pork Tacos: onion, radish, cilantro, lime -Lollipop J*** Wings The food was alright for the most part, but nothing greatly stood out. The fries were normal fries, wish it could have been hotter and more crisp. The lollipop wings had a good crisp to them but needed more j*** flavor/seasoning. I felt was very overpriced ($14 for about 5 wings). Side note: I never quite understand why places shave off the bottom meat of the drum for the lollipop...it's good eats. To each their own. The corn was a good addition. The Mojo pork tacos were the best. The pork wasn't bland and was quite juicy. Decent visit overall, I would like to return and try other dishes.
