My personal favorite hidden Gem! We love this place, the service is always fabulous, the food is excellent - those crawfish beignets are to die for, the shrimp and grits is barr none and the crawfish etouffee is what dreams are made of. I love everything about this restaurant, 12/10 I highly recommend!

If you really want an enjoyable southern meal, check out this very nice restaurant. Quick service, great food, and a very clean and orderly environment. My second meal with Reverend Jessie Jackson and his wife Mrs. Jacqueline Brown Jackson occurred at this restaurant. it was that evening when Mrs. Jackson inquired of the chef and owner, what do you know about cooking grits? Well, she took a bite, rolled her eyes up at Jodie, the owner, and very soon the plate was clean. Mrs. Jackson had never had grits and shrimp but she I can assure you that we enjoyed our first rate meals that evening. Now I am not a bread, pudding, person, but Jody delivered the most outstanding dessert to our table. He treated us as if we welcome and rolled out the red carpet and away that you would only receive in a five star restaurant. If Ten Stars could be awarded, Mr. Morphis and his staff earned them that evening. I've had the good pleasure of meeting Reverend Jessie Jackson Senior on a number of occasions, but during my study my family history, nearly 6 years later, while reviewing my ancestry.com results, I would learn that the Reverend Jessie Jackson senior was my third cousin. Such a nice memory of our First dinner with a family member that was not known to me at that time. Thank you, blue denim. John

We have been here repeatedly since moving from Pittsburgh and this is easily our favorite restaurant in GSO. The shrimp and grits and etoufee are outstanding and consistently excellent. We get apps, drinks and entrees and are very full leaving. Everything is good from start to finish.

The food was absolutely delicious and amazing! When I first arrived it took forever to be greeted even after having reservations. The server made up for it though! He was really nice and knows what he's doing. He had so many tablets alone and was handling them all. The shrimp and grits were the best ever. The bread pudding was delicious as well! Its small inside and I've never liked parking downtown. I've already told my friends about this place and I will be back! Bad parking or not, it's worth the fight lol. I can't remember the name of the dish my sister had but it was just amazing!!! I highly recommend this place!

Came from Charlotte to eat here only to be disappointed and annoyed at the waitress’ annoyance with me. How?! Ordered the brussel sprouts and they were really good and flavorful. Jeansboro Mule to drink was straight. The issue came when I ordered the Mr.Chicken. I’ve been to so many restaurants where they use turkey meat in their collards NOW that it didn’t dawn on me to ask nor did it say on the menu or when she took my order she didn’t say “hey our collards are made with pork is that ok?!” Soooo I had to send that back after being asked if I can just pick it out b/c of the cut up pork in the greens was in my bowl underneath the chicken. ???No I can’t just pick the pork out. This is the point I should’ve known and just ordered more brussel sprouts as my meal. So she brings out the new Mr.Chicken with sautéed spinach, grits are fire but like barely any on the plate smh. So I’m eating and start cuttin into my chicken and this mess is not fully done!! ?HEATED…I inform her and she’s like “well do you want me to take it back” ?THAT TO ME IS THE ISSUE, SERVICE WAS TRASH B/C you should’ve been like omgosh yea let me get this corrected for you whether back to the kitchen or comp the order like that question shouldn’t have formed from your mouth period. Do you eat your chicken raw?! Not like she missed out on money she got double from us and the order weren’t edible b/c My grandma was nice enough to pay for the 1st Mr.Chicken order like she pissed me off too b/c don’t do that, why?! Place is cute but def NOT worth the price or stress of its service. Oh and I forgot to mention the grilled bread, I’ll just say it’s not complimentary. Then had the nerve to ask about dessert after you just tried to kill me?! Hell nah!! I should’ve known but I’ll take this L…

OhLaLa. We had the shrimp and grits and the crawfish étouffée. Some of the best ever. I try shrimp and grits everywhere. Loved the corn grits like mom makes. Great seasoning and sausage pieces. Nice garnish. The étouffée was nicely spiced with a touch of heat. Soaked up that Cajun sauce. Magnific’. ?

Great food - love the ambience and the service has always been great- it's small and sometimes it feels like you are eating with strangers but I like it and I'll go back

My first time here with my niece. It was a nice quaint atmosphere our waiter Cameron was cool, well versed in the menu. The tables are a little to tight and close for me. I don't like eating that close on top of other patrons. But hey that's just me, an example of how tight it was. Every time the waitress came to service the table next to us. As she was squeezing into to put plates down. Her buttocks were right in our face as we were eating. Anywho besides that great atomsphere, service and food.

Tight quarters so make your reservations! Friendly and energetic staff. Awesome New Orleans style menu. Crawfish beignets are amazing as an app! Can't miss with the entrees. Drink menu is fun too- try the Sazerac if that's your huckleberry; but all the custom drinks are more fun than standard bar fare. Definite win!

Fantastic in every way. The service, setting, food and drink were all top notch. The attention to detail from making your reservation to the end of your evening is just exceptional. We come from Kernersville and it’s worth every mile. Thank you Cade and Blue Denim for your service and for such a big big time this past Saturday. Can’t wait to come back! Chrystie Family

My friends and I enjoyed Blue Denim very much. It's my second time at this restaurant and I have not left disappointed. First, I do recommend making a reservation it is a small restaurant. Also, the servers make the cocktails for their tables. So it might be a small wait if they have multiple tables. Non the less service and cocktails are great. So far the Duck nachos are my favorite appetizer the sauce , tender duck, with a light sauce and the crunch of the chip, excellent . I ate the Étouffée 10/10 I 100 percent recommend this dish. All in all I recommend eating here when you have the time.

I’m going to give Blue Denim a straight five stars. The owner is very pleasant and understanding. Though my reservation was for 730 we didn’t all arrive by 815. Forgot how hard downtown parking is on Friday. They take in last orders at 830. Our server not the owner was rude or rushing us. They made jokes and laughed with us. It did make it easier we pretty much knew what we wanted. Our server was very attentive and honest. We had a mixed group of 12 people and they tried to accommodate us all the way. When it come to food the crawfish fettuccine is the best. The drink are hitting too. Please do go and have their crawfish fettuccine with a few drinks. Cause we will definitely be back. Enjoy

I made a 8pm reservation for my girlfriend and I after a flight cancellation. Arrived and were told they had already done their last seating which was a bit confusing, but they saw our res and sat us promptly. Our waitress Abbey was cheerful and attentive and a great personality. When asking for suggestions it became obvious that she loves what the kitchen puts out. Being a shrimp & grits guys everywhere I see it on the menu, especially a Cajun place, she couldn’t speak highly enough of theirs. I ended up ordering the crawfish fettuccine, since I had a sneaking suspicion that I would be coming back here. My girlfriend ordered the red beans & rice with shrimp. Both dishes were excellent. The pasta dish was homey and comforting. The dish had just enough of that parmesan sauce covered perfectly al dente fettuccine and plenty of crawfish and lardons. The spinach and mushroom rounded the dish out with a nice umami flavor that made it feel like a home cooked meal. The red beans and rice were tasty. They had a healthy amount of dry heat on the back end. I would’ve liked to try it with the andouille since I feel it’s more traditional. I also like when they don’t squash all of the beans to give you that textural contrast.Alongside our entrees we has the fixin vodka lemonade and the cosmo. My gf loved her cosmo. The lemonade was good but not too prominent on the lemon flavor, and not all too strong. I was curious about a few of their other cocktails and they even had an interesting wine list with a Pinot noir from Oregon and an Albariño from Uruguay, which I’ve never tried from that region. We ended our meal with both desert options. The bread pudding was good, a bit dense but not too heavy. The crème anglaise was tasty and had a robust note from the whiskey, and the pecans gave it a nice crunch. The banana pudding was more my jam. The salted caramel was excellent and the nilla wafers still had a good crunch. All in all the meal was excellent. Our server made us feel welcome and the atmosphere was inviting and small enough for an intimate vibe without feeling crowded. This place restored my faith in the food scene in Greensboro and now it’s time to find some more gems like this.
