For a small shop in an Amtrak station, this is actually pretty great. Part convenience store, part mini deli, this place has it all. You can buy snacks, drinks, and get some breakfast or lunch items from the small menu it has. I got a hot dog and was impressed that they used the Hebrew National brand. All items were priced fairly unlike some other places I have visited. The customer service was great, and the manager helpfully told me when there was an announcement for a departure. It's nothing fancy, but if you are getting a quick lunch or breakfast, this will do.
I wasn't expecting much from the only shop in the Greensboro Amtrak station, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was very reasonably priced and the sausage egg and cheese bagel I got was actually really good. What made it distinctive, though, were the people working. They were funny, kind, and made you feel welcomed and appreciated. Not something I'd typically expect at a place like this, but very much appreciated, especially at 8 in the morning. If you're taking the train from Greensboro, definitely take the time to stop by.
