Today I had one of the best brunch/foodie experiences of my life. I randomly stumbled upon Chez Genèse in Greensboro, NC and realized that the majority of employees were of special needs. That’s not to discount from any of the service or food, that’s just what their mission as a brand is. To service people brought into this life at a disadvantage. That being said, the food there was amazing! I got the lemon ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon, + a couple mimosas, because I’m human. I had no issues with the food. The service… was the service, which was great! I went in expecting an annoyed 23 year old who doesn’t even want to be there, but instead got a guy who was overjoyed to be there.I loved everything about my experience and I wish there were more restaurants that catered to this demographic. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that asks and would encourage you to seek out others that do the same.**anyone that gives this place less than a 5 ⭐️ review should not be trusted in any way in life**

I love this restaurant. The owner is so kind and I firmly stand behind what she is doing with this business. All of the food comes out picture perfect and is just as delicious as it looks. The rosemary biscuits are some of the tastiest biscuits I’ve ever had and I’m a biscuit snob, I hate biscuits out of a can. All of their sweet treats are also delicious! The only problem is the parking situation is terrible downtown.Dietary restrictions: Are very vigilant about keeping allergens separate if needed.Parking: Parking is difficult because it’s downtown. There is a outdoor lot a block away.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that leads up to the door for wheelchairs.

We waited there for 30 minutes and never got our food. The waiter took our order and walked past us 5 or 6 times. We saw other tables that came in after us get their food. I’m assuming a mix up happened. We tried to tell the waiter after he walked past us a few times but he always went to another table with food, so we just left.

Super chic and cute restaurant on elm street. The French food is all wonderfully made and presented. I had the avocado toast with egg and a side of the rosemary potatoes to share. My friends each had the savory crepe with chicken and a sweet crepe with vanilla and fruit. We all shared and enjoyed a taste of each others food. The coffee is strong but smooth. We didn't wait long on a Saturday morning for a table. Our service was prompt and we didn't wait long for the food to arrive. Everyone was courteous. Healthy options available. We all agreed to return soon!Thank you Chez Genese! ??

The staff were all absolutely delightful. A few of the dishes were quite small for the price but others were well portioned and all of it was tasty. The bacon, caramelized onion and emmental omelette was outstanding as well as the pastries.Patience is a virtue on your visit if you have a party over 4 because it's a smaller space so table turnover has to work in your favor, but it's well worth the wait.

Chez Genese is the cutest! The overall vibe of the restaurant is quaint and comforting, and the cute flowers and plants that decorate the restaurant are an added touch. Service took a bit, but the servers were very friendly. Food was exquisite! The rosemary potatoes are a must try!Vegetarian options: There was a good selection of foods for me to choose from as a vegetarian. Not sure if the same is true for any vegan patrons, however.

10 out of 10 recommend for good service and delicious food. I love their French theme and their mission. The food is always fresh and delicious. I’ve taken one of their macaron making classes and I enjoyed every second of it.

I recently dined at Chez Genèse and was blown away by the experience. I had the salad and cocotte, both of which were outstanding in flavor and presentation. I wanted to order everything on the menu!Call ahead for reservations because they cook many things on the spot which is why it is so good! What truly sets this French café apart is its initiative to employ individuals with disabilities, creating a wonderfully inclusive atmosphere. This gesture not only adds to the warm, family-like feel of the café but also showcases their commitment to community and inclusivity.Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious food served in a welcoming, inclusive environment. A must-visit!Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp was fantastic for my sisters in law who dined with us. She got in and out of the restaurant with no problem!

This is my 3rd time being here and my 1st time bringing in a cocktail from Vintage & Vogue. We briskly walked back to Chez since there was quite a wait. once we sat down the manager quickly came over to inform me with lots of attitude, that outside drinks were not allowed. She was extremely rude with her tone and gave me the choices of going outside to finish it or having her dump it. Even when I let her know she was rude, she insisted about a sign on the door. A simple I'm sorry to inform you....would have been enough and allowed us to continue on with our lovely morning. Regardless of her possible being racist towards me, we had a lovely time and highly recommend it. The food was fantastic and our waitress was very kind. Upon leaving the restaurant, we did see a small black sign with white letters that stated no outside food or drink. It is not extremely noticeable and drinks are allowed to be carried within the area of the restaurants and stores in the area. We were not aware of other specifics. If she had been more polite in her approach, it would not have been a negative experience.

A French Bistro with a lot of character. The prices are on the higher side, but the portions and quality are excellent. A few of the chairs here need to be reupholstered. The wait staff were attentive and our orders were accurate. All and all, a great experience and we will be returning again.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ramp
