We ate there today and I ordered the barbecue tray that was $10.95. When it came it was so tiny and half the tray was slaw. More slaw than barbecue. What happened to the great food and service we got there just a year ago? We have decided not to go back. It wasn't even a nice size tray. Sorry. We have always loved and bragged on Country Barbecue.

We had lunch here for the first time today and shared the 3-meat platter with hush puppies, French fries, and mac&cheese. Also tried the cherry cobbler and peach cobbler for dessert. Service was fantastic, friendly and super fast. Food was amazing, can’t wait to come back, we’re hooked!

Country BBQ wow 1st time coming here, I went through the drive through I pulled in 6 cars ahead of me only took 5-7 to get to the front of line so it was moving ??? I ordered 2 bacon eggs and cheese biscuits, 1 county ham and cheese and 1 tenderloin biscuit, and 2 large hashbrowns…..the best biscuit was the ham and cheese, that was superior now the bacon egg and cheese was 2nd…amount of bacon was amazing but two much egg, very greasy biscuit. 3rd ranked item was the large hashbrown they were good but were not cooked all the way I had to pick over the hashbrowns to find the good ones, hate the soft spots ? 4 and least favorite item was the main reason I came it was that pork tenderloin biscuit…man I cried I got it plain and it was not good…I think I should had added cheese to it, I don’t think I will eat the pork chop sandwich again ? BUT THE REAL QUESTION IS WILL I EAT HERE AGAIN……hellllllll yeahhhhhhhh ham biscuits only

What a disappointment!! Saturday night at 7:15. Walked in and floors have been mopped from the front door to the booths. ALL chairs are on top of the tables. Only booths available. Ordered the 1/4 chicken dark. It was definitely cooked….for a really long time….shriveled up. Fries were cold. Had to ask for ketchup. All bottles had been taken up from the tables. Elderly couple came in that had a very hard time walking. They went to get a table because they don’t fit in the booths. They saw all the chairs on top of the tables and turned around and left. The girl cleaning on the side with the tables was rushing around mopping the floors on that side…cleaning bathrooms and trash was being taken out. Registers were being counted. All the customers in there were talking about how they appear to be closing up. If you are closing early….PUT A SIGN ON THE DOOR! We have been customers for YEARS and have never had this happen before. Our server was the only one NOT rushing people. A gentleman from the kitchen came out and told the girl mopping that she couldn’t close off that whole side of the restaurant this early. It was 7:40 at that point. She ran her mouth to another server and continued doing what she was doing. Times sure have changed at Country BBQ on Wendover. As my picture show…they close at 9:00.
Like always the breakfast was killer. I had a tenderloin biscuit with a spoon of gravy. One place we go Everytime we are in town from VA.

A very good example of pork and vinegar Carolina style BBQ. But the absolute best thing about the restaurant is its staff. They were all very friendly and gave us good suggestions on what to eat. A+++++ Staff!

I ordered the sliced bbq plate. It came with fries, hush puppies, and slaw (I opted for red slaw). Great Lexington style bbq, excellent hush puppies, and good slaw. Fries were nothing special but were good.The interior/atmosphere is very nostalgic, which I love. It’s well kept but has not changed in years. Very welcoming.Parking: Large number of spaces all around the building.

We love this Country BBQ; all Country BBQ are great but ... this one's adds a few different touches with their seating, roving waitress service, and added warm BBQ aju/sauce with your meal.Great location on Wendover; across from Costco. Pork, slaw, and hush puppies ... ah yea ... good stuff!!!
Good BBQ. Good sauce as well. Large portions too. Hush puppies are excellant. Wait staff is great.Parking: No problem with parking. Plenty of spaces.
