My mom and I went for the first time today after hearing great reviews! I have to say I was not disappointed at ALL I had the chicken wing dinner and my mom had the fried whiting we both really enjoyed our food! Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful, not to mention the staff was spot on and friendly!! Will be returning!

The food is alright, but CUSTOMER SERVICE is everything something by this place don't have. Whoever the BIG lady is who sits right in front by the cash registers as if she a body guard for the lil cash register is Very Rude and is bad for business. I Will gladly take my money elsewhere.

Just visited them on July 18th at 1pm and I’m very dissatisfied food tasted so bland and disgusting . For this to be a so called soul food restaurants it’s far from itAs you can see my mashed potatoes was dry as hell look at the picturePlus Mac was cheesy but no taste or seasoningRice and gravy was nasty no seasoningThey salmon patty they cook in a deep fryer they over cooked themMy fiancé got the meatloaf plateMeatloaf was dry as hell not even ketchup on topHis collards had no seasoning and etcWe have are plates to are dogFiancé even thru up after trying a bit off his plate

My name is Wayne and I'm from the ATL. I'm use to eating good Soul Food and Funderburk's did not disappoint me. Actually, it was some of the best food outside of my Mother's kitchen. I had the privilege of eating at the America's Dr. location. By the way I had the Smothered Pork Chops and the Crispy Fried Chicken. Thanks to the three Angels who took good care of me. ❤

A friend suggested this place several months ago, but just got the change to try. The family and I wanted a "home cooked Sunday dinner". Our orders were for the BBQ ribs dinner: meaty tender ribs, fell off the bone, not smothered in sauce. Dinner included two sides: collards -very fresh, not salty, but we added vinegar for our own taste; and sweet potatoes -very tasty, definitely not out the can or smothered in marshmallows, nutmeg, etc; A+. Placed our orders online via the website for curbside pickup. Confirmation email sent and was stated to be ready in 45 min. All was ready on time and all orders were correct. Overall, we enjoyed it and will have to try them again soon. Lots to choose from
Food is great , but Mac and cheese doesn't taste like it did when they first opened, not that good noodles taste over cooked or something but whiting/flounder fish, yams, is great

I've given this place so many chances the whole time they've been in high point, I've supported them week after week,I had to stop coming because they kept messing up my orders, finally tried them again after 1 year i got the oxtail there was so much fat on them there was no seasoning on the food I had to add my own seasoning, the string beans were still hard with a crunch the but the garlic mash potatoes were good, the portion size was not worth $23, I love supporting my black businesses but I can't with this restaurant anymore

If you are in Greensboro, you have to try this restaurant...the food is amazing! I also the enjoyed the atmosphere and had an opportunity to meet the owner. He and his staff were very friendly! I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to Greensboro.

Funderburk’s fine dining experience was amazing!! I had the crab cake appetizer and it was light and delicious. For dinner I had the blackened sea bass, mashed potatoes and sautéed kale. Every thing was perfectly seasoned. My cousin had the oxtail entree and they were so tender and tasty. Very welcoming and friendly staff...and the chef even came out to our table to greet us. Awesome experience—
