Yuk. When we walked in I caught the faint scent of sewage. I passed it off just the scent of an old building. I was wrong. The place smelled like sewage. Bad. The food wasn't good. The sharama was really dry. My wife had a wrap which was just OK. They ask you to bus your own table. We had to scrape our plates into a garbage can. Then put the dirty dishes into a tub which was next to the garbage can. Not sure why his place got any good reviews.

I have a confession, despite the wide love for this restaurant, my visit last week is the first time I have ever gone. But not my first time at Jerusalem Market! I live very close to their original location out toward Sedgefield, and it's always a tasty place to stop in for fresh food. I also have no shortage of great middle eastern and Mediterranean type foods near me, so going all the way to downtown to eat just isn't something I need to do. That said, I was meeting my pop for lunch in downtown, and we both decided to give this place a shot. It's a great cafe downtown with an excellent location, situated on Elm street with several other choices. The food is made fresh to order, so unless you order something served cold, just keep in mind there's a 15-20 minute cook. This is not something I mind of course. I ordered the Armenian wrap, which is beef tenderloin with provolone, baba ghanouj, yogurt sauce and spices in one of their flatbreads. Comes with Z'atar chips, and I added a small cup of hummus for an upcharge. Personally. I'd like to see hummus come with those chips as part of the price, but it wasn't too bad. For a downtown cafe serving high quality food, prices here are reasonable. The flavor was definitely on point! Texture was excellent too, from the doughy pull of the flatbread, to the creamy sauce and baba. It was great. The Za'tar chips were crispy and spiced nicely. Dipping in the hummus, great combo. I had water to drink, but keep in mind all other beverages are bottled or canned. Dad got a nice fresh salad, chunks of feta and a chicken kabob and also enjoyed it. Overall, excellent healthy option downtown, a very nice cafe run by friendly people.

I was looking to get Mediterranean food in Greensboro and came across Jerusalem market. The gentleman at the counter was extremely friendly, and gave some suggestions as to what to order.I went with the lamb kebab plate with hummus and baba ghanoush. While the lamb looked promising unfortunately it was chewy. The hummus and the baba ghanoush were good. Nothing mind blowing but solid. The desserts were the real standouts. I tried the walnut and pistachio baklava. Both were outstanding. Not overly sweet but both were nutty and you could see each layer.I’m hoping it was an off night and am willing to give them another shot.

Ultra friendly staff made me feel like a regular, food was phenomenal. I'm visiting from out of town and I know for a fact I'll be back here any time I'm in town. Get the homemade hot sauce.

Everything was ok, the guy I believe is the owner took my order. He was friendly, he recommended the Tafta of Im saying this right. It’s like a beef and lamb roll fried over rice. I thought it was going to be like Shawarma that served in a sauce with onions peppers etc. It was just the meat and rice. Overall it was

My first time trying out the good at Jerusalem Market. Very soothing atmosphere. All the reviewers were correct as their falafel is the best I have had in my life! Moist, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I have had many variations for more than 35 years and this is the best falafel. The chicken kabob was well seasoned and the hummus really good. But I could enjoy a meal containing nothing but their falafel. Thank you.
