The steaks were the right temperature but bland. The salmon was nearly raw. The Mac&Cheese undercooked and the noodles were tough. The Caesar salad barely had any dressing on it and wasn’t a proper Caesar salad. The fries weregood though. The wine was bitter.Server didn’t pre-bus the table and we were drowning in plates. She also forgot my wife’s coffee and my water. She was very friendly though.Overall it was a mediocre dining experience for a premium price. If I’m gonna pay $600 for a party of 6, then I expect perfection. I could have gotten better steaks and service at Longhorn for half the price.

Everything was awesome. We sat at the outside bar because of the great weather. Food was good. We had the collard dip, sausage dip and the soul rolls were the show stopper. I ordered the chicken Philly and my wife ordered the Buffalo chicken mac n cheese. No complaints here about the food at all. The drinks were also very satisfying.

Just want to share a wonderful dining event experience at Kau. Missy the event planner displayed a wonderful menu & service for my grandson’s Christening. The food & service was amazing. Chis was attentive to all our needs. Was a great experience and I recommend them highly for your event experience.

Very fun hang. The brisket and mac is a go to and the patio is super comfortable. I'd recommend it!

We had a wonderful experience at Kau yesterday for a late lunch. I ordered the Kau salad, burger and fries, hubby had the portabella sandwich and brussel sprouts and our daughter had a burger and broccolini. The food and the atmosphere were great. However, the star of the meal was our fabulous server, Micheal. He was attentive, friendly and fun. He worked with all of our weird dietary requests without ever making us feel like we were a bother…even whipping up a special drink at the bar despite dietary restrictions that severely limited the ingredients he could use. Thanks!Vegetarian options: Hubby is trying to eat less meat…he enjoyed his vegetarian meal.Dietary restrictions: Nut and tree nut allergy, gluten free

Went here awhile ago very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. This place is actually the old Moses Cone textile factory they reinvented this into an apartment complex and has eatery restaurants. Please call ahead to reserve your seating and be on time!Parking: For wheelchair or ambulatory issues there isn’t a lot of parking spaces accessibility. This is one reason I gave it 4 starsWheelchair accessibility: Only a few spaces I mean a few a longer walk for people with ambulatory issues

The food is really fresh and tastes great. Appetizer portions are large enough for meals. Soul rolls are great.Varied seating for small or large groups. Love that the preserved some the mill to make the restaurant! Excited about next time.

I have never seen bacon this good before, we had to come back the next day to get it again while we were in town.

I love the ambiance of Kau. It's chill but classy. I went for a business networking event with the Vela Foundation. I loved the event and loved the appetizers they served. They had buffalo dip, sausage dip, artichoke dip, meatballs, salad, veggies, chicken salad, chicken tenders, brownies, and cookies. It was truly a top-tier experience.

Tried out the butcher shop attached to Kau. Their selection of meats in the case was really nice. Great USDA Prime cuts of beef, pork belly, pork chops, ground beef blend, and chicken. They were pretty busy for a Sunday, too! We are glad we stopped. I can't wait to cook what we purchased!

Reservations recommended but we have been twice without and not waited too long for early dinner. 3rd visits total. Everything tastes good but not quite awesome. Still searching for the dish that makes me happy dance. The bacon appetizer is fire but not a meal.

This was my first visit here and was very impressed with the lay out and its location. We had a fairly large party and called ahead for reservations. They have a large amount of seating upstairs and downstairs with a full bar area . Everyone at the table ordered a mix of things . Prices are a tad high but I guess that’s expected with inflation. So many menu choices which make it hard to decide. My dish fell short with the flavor profile I ordered the steak salad which really didn’t have any taste . But I tried a little bit of everyone’s dishes . The pulled pork Mac n cheese was delicious. The ribeye steak was good could have used a little more flavor but it was cooked perfectly. The ahi Tuna was good but also could use another flavor element to elevate it ( maybe a drizzle of something since the Tuna is a tad dry. The wedge salad with grilled shrimp was simple . The salmon my aunt ordered looked delicious . All in all food was good, for the most part everyone enjoyed their meals and although the service was slow I know a lot of restaurants are running short staffed so I sympathize for that .

Great food! But look at the receipt they charge you for a soda water or tonic if you get it mixed with your drink? Lol like what?
