Lots of fun and worth the trip from Chapel Hill! It's a bit pricey per person but you have a lot to see. Check their website as there are different types of discounts (student being one) Highly recommend

This is one of my five year olds favorite places! The Greensboro Science Center offers a wonderful learning experience. Lots of hands on activities and opportunities for the imaginations to explore! This is a very well kept facility with extremely knowledgeable staff. The Winter Wonder Lights is also a big hit. They add to this event every year. The carousel is a huge hit all year long. It's indoors so it remains a good opportunity for fun no matter the weather.

What a great thing to have right in town! I'm an absolute aquarium junkie myself, so if a place I'm visiting has one, I'm there! How fortunate is it then that the town I lived in has one and keeps making efforts to improve it! The selection of animals is quite a wide variety as well, with some cats, canids, and some that make you go... "Huh?" (Okapi, this means you...) If you're a local, the annual membership is worth it not just to support the cause, but because the membership is equal it a couple days visit, but you can just pop in whenever. Gives you the freedom to mosey in and enjoy a bit, then leave without feeling like you missed out. Just go another day. Sometimes I'll just walk through the outdoor zoo on a lunch break! Winter Wonderlights 2023 is in swing, and it's markedly different from last year! Less structure with show times and more fluidity, traffic going in whatever direction, no Point A to Point B. Seems more in line for kids attention spans, and the lighting was lovely. Really enjoy the blue Manex Wolves Hanukkah are and the classic whites at Revolution Ridge. Take the kids, carry some hand warmers, and maybe go before it's too busy!

Went to Jingle Brew...the Science Center itself was amazing. Whoever planned, and I would say organized, however it was not, should never be allowed to plan another event!! Outrageous wait times on beer lines, ran out of beer. Refused pimento grilled cheese sandwiches to people if you weren't vegetarian!! Totally ridiculous!

The Greensboro Science Center is where I recently spent the day. I signed up for two behind the scenes tours. One of the tours was of the zoo and the other of the aquarium section.I enjoyed the zoo behind the scenes tour more than the aquarium as it was more hands on. I got to learn about and feed lemurs; a cassowary; two trumpeter hornbills and two tortoises. It was an experience I will not forget.I was familiar with lemurs but couldn't touch or feed them in Durham. So I really enjoyed being so close and feeding them here.I'd never seen a cassowary before but they are similar to emus and ostriches and considered the world's most dangerous bird. So after I heard that I was wondering why I'd be feeding one. I was scared each time it took the food from my hand. It never hurt when the beak snatched it up but it always made me flinch. The trumpeter hornbills were noisy. These I got to throw frozen blueberries into their mouths which wasn't the easiest to do. One of them moved closer to me as I wasn't doing so well with my throws. I did better with the plumper berries than the smushy ones. The last stop was my favorite with the aldabra tortoises. I didn't expect them to be my favorite but they were just remarkable creatures. I could feed them with large tweezers and give them lettuce. Then I was also told I could rub the shell and they got so excited they got taller as that was something these tortoises enjoyed. The center has a place for lunch with a variety of options. If the area to dine upstairs is full just go down a level as there is more seating as well as a room for those that brought their own food from home to eat.My second tour was of the aquarium and we learned about the food the aquatic animals eat then went to feed sting rays. From there we got to touch jelly fish and see the room they were in and learn about the different types. We saw some seahorses. We went to the top of the shark reef and fed some fish and got a different viewpoint of the tank. This tour was still a unique experience just not as hands on as the previous tour.I want to go back and feed the penguins on my next visit.

We've been visiting the science center for YEARS and usually always have a good time. During school field trip time it can be harder to enjoy yourselves or harder to get around, sometimes even the teenagers running around can be enough to make you want to leave BUT we try to go during the more slow times since we do enjoy everything their is to do and see so much.

I visited for the first time and I was very impressed with all of the exhibits and all they had to offer. My favorite part of my visit was being able to see the animals and especially the red pandas! You can spend all day looking around and learning about so many different things. Fun for all ages.

Kids and young at heart can enjoy this attraction. Small zoo, ropes course. Lots of stimulation for young minds. Not too big and lots of shade. Adjacent to Country Park and nearby Guilford Battleground Park.

Don't try to apply the manager is very rude. I had a family emergency and a life changing event last year and I wasn't able to start a job but was told that I'm nothing but a lier so if I could do something about it I totally would. And the kitchen was dirty on both times that I went there.

First visit on my own (translation - without two preschool-aged grandkids) so I could see more of the center and pause to take photos. If you have never visited, here is the first thing you need to know. Every parent and daycare in the Greensboro area knows about the place and goes there, especially on weekends and summer days. If you need proof, just look at all the SUVs in the parking lot! This was a light rain day, The only downside to that is that many of the zoo animals were not on display. I was able to see the pigmy hippo and its recently born baby via an indoor area display window, As long as it's a light rain and you don't mind a little water, there are enough trees and covered seating areas to make a nice stroll in the outdoors. This was my first time seeing the butterfly garden, and really enjoyed this area. The aquarium is of course a main draw, and I find it an impressive facility for the area. I look forward to going again the see the tigers and other Zoo animals I didn't see this time.

Loved the aquarium inside. It was raining the day we went but it was a great experience for our toddler. The aquarium was the best part for us and the penguins are super friendly and cute. A 10/10 must go for little ones!

Ok but it could be so much better. It’s nice to have the cafe to stop in and pick up water or coffee or a snack but I feel like it could be a little more clean and a little better laid out. It feels tired and the rest of the science center is so amazing.

Sunday Funday at the Greensboro Science Center and Museum. This place is much bigger than I could've imagined!!There's so much to see, from Space, to Aquariums with fish and others with reptiles. A mini Zoo outside, a cafeteria to grab snacks and other food items. There were a few exhibits being worked on and New ones being added so I foresee another trip once those are completed.
