The chef here is from Northern Italy and has the culinary chops to prove it. Italy is my favorite foodie destination anywhere because each region boasts its own amazing flavors! I had the lasagna to get a baseline as a first timer here. The ragu Bolognese was world-class and had that punchy fresh tomato flavor you can only get with amazing tomatoes like San Marzanos! The texture of the pasta layers was velvety and tender and perfectly cooked! Just melts in your mouth with each bite! Truly wonderful!!! My friend tried the fettucine with mushrooms and said it was outstanding as well! Looking fwd to many more visits exploring the rest of the menu. Waiter was friendly & attentive and even came out to pet my poodle waiting in the car as we left! Just an enjoyable dinner with a friend & great Italian food! Ambiance is cozy and not pretentious like you'd expect from a neighborhood osteria or trattoria in Italia! Molto bene!!!

Terrific food and service. Great wine knowledge for pairing with dinner choice. Lots of parking but a little difficult to find.

Outstanding! Dinner was absolutely top notch. I ate the sea bass and it was perfection. We also enjoyed the meatball appetizer which I will admit are better than mine. For dessert we ate the apple strudel, sooo good!! The wine was perfect as well. “The Guy” who helped pick the bottle of wine asked what we liked and our price range, he choose the perfect compliment to our meal. Dinner was perfect!!!!

This was a great place for a date night out. We did not bring our kid as it did look a little too upscale for a kid. The menu was great with many excellent choices. I had the oso bucco and my wife had the seafood ravioli. They did have a very nice wine last. We both had a Chianti. It was good with both our dishes. I'm very interested to come back and try other dishes as everything that came out looked fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxing and the noise volume was what you would expect in a higher end restaurant. There was a bar side and another side. We sat in the side without a bar and the noise was a little lower making it a much more romantic setting. Overall great Italian date night place.

Excellent service and food. I know all of those culinary experts will recoil in horror, but if you want meat cooked a little more just ask for it. These folks want you to enjoy life not conform to it. Everything was delicious especially the huge shrimp appetizer with house tartar sauce and the bone in chop special.

We had the rudest waiter. No personality, no interpersonal skills, and no interest in us as a customer. The food was great but that’s about all. ,

Valentine's Day is always a dicey time to eat out however our party of four discriminating diners were totally pleased with our experience at Osteria. We each had something different and each of us very pleased. The soups, endive salad, and tomato tower were terrific. Seafood dishes were great as well as beef entrees were perfectly done. Our server was personable, professional, and just attentive enough. We will be back.

When to Osteria for Valentine's lunch with my wife. We got our special table that we like in the window with sunlight beaming in. Lunch offerings were superb and generous. We had an appetizer, fish special, and Bomba for dessert. The service was attentive without interfering or rushing us. My only criticism was the potatoes that accompanied the Branzino fish were over-cooked and dry. Not usually this way there. All-in-all an outstanding experience. PS: My wife thoroughly enjoyed a glass of Pinot Nero red wine: Number 104 on the menu. That will be her "go-to" in the future.

Haven't been there in 2 years and confirmed the reason why yesterday. Went there last evening and the food was marginal at best. First of all the waiter ordered the wrong thing and wrote it down initially. He also told us that one of the dishes was topped with lobster and it wasn't . One of the parties food was not hot and the soup which I used to enjoy was a bit watery and bland. I believe there are much better restaurants in Greensboro and surrounding area's. I won't be back......

I made reservations online. We were put in the back room which we don't like. If I want reservations in the front do I have to call or is there an option to request that online?
