All the pound cakes I've tried are delicious. My favorites are sweet potato and lemon. Those are my favorite flavors in desserts, so that makes me biased, lol. The owner is always pleasant when you go in there, too.
I first started buying pound cake when she was downtown and when she moved I did not know where to find her. Just happened to have lunch with friends across the street from her shop and the waitress told us about the pound cake shop. I was hoping it was her so we went over and there she was with all her wonderful pound cakes. I have moved since but whenever I’m in town that is one of the first places I go. Her pound cake tastes like my Grandmother’s just delicious. For those that say it’s expensive try making a true pound cake and see how expensive it is. They are a pound of nothing but delicious.

Was across the street eating dinner at Fat Dogs when I saw this place. Please, do yourself a favor and visit. It would be easy to drive by this little place if you’re not paying attention, but put it in your GPS and be on the look out!I swear there are about 20 flavors to choose from, but after speaking with the lady, not all are available every single day. And let’s get real, it’s a bit unreasonable to expect someone to bake that many pound cakes each day, just for them to go to waste. But she keeps the classics on hand. I tried the rum and cheesecake pound cake and yes yes yes! I got my hubs an m&m cookie and nearly ate the whole thing. And these are not average sized cookies, they are well worth every penny! And I saw someone complain about price, baking is a labor of love and it’s worth paying for good food to support a local business. And, it’s not like you’re given a skimpy slice of cake, these slices could easily be eaten on for a couple days, if you have self control ?

On a scale of 1 to 5, this cake is a solid TEN!!! My 92 year old mother has been yearning for pound cake like she remembers from her youth. This definitely made her birthday special. Thank you Miss Margaret Elaine for carrying on the tradition!

Great cakes and pies. The Iced Lemon Butter Pound Cake was spectacular. Reminded me of Scottish shortbread with lemon icing.

I have always gotten cakes from them. Two of the flavors were sold out I decided to try something new Chocolate pound; a little dry and I’ve never experienced this.
