My husband took me for our 25th anniversary. The food was delicious, however uptown Charlotte wait staff was more upscale with their service than Greensboro. Overall a great experience and atmosphere.

All of our food was cooked to perfection & loved my Strawberriy Coconut Mojito. Our server was prompt & kind. This is the only place where I know the Wedge Salad w/ Blue Cheese crumbles will be super fresh every time I've ordered it! Thank you Ruth Chris!

Only giving 3 stars as my steak was not cooked how I requested. I asked for medium rare and the steak had barely a hint of pink to it. I have had better and less expensive steak elsewhere. Everything else was great but when I ask for medium rare, I want to see pink/red on the plate and in the middle. I wouldn't come back just for steak. The sweet potato casserole was very good.

What can you say, it’s Ruth’s Chris! Petite filet was cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes were rich and creamy, and the sweet potato casserole was delicious!Layout of this particular location is a little awkward; entry way is tight and the seating areas radiate to the left and right as you walk into the dining area, almost as if the restaurant is wrapping around the first floor of the building (if you sit on the right side of the restaurant, you can’t see the left side dining room, and vice versa). That’s not a big deal, it just feels like the restaurant was wedged into some remnant first floor space, but it doesn’t impact the food quality or service - both were great. The separation of the two dining spaces does allow staff to sit formal diners on one side and semi-formal or casual diners on the other side.
My daughter and son-in-law took me there April 1st for my birthday. Very special in that I had not been there to eat before.

Two stars because:* To start they couldn't find our reservation made through Open Table.* Our appetizer arrived at the same time as our entrees - the apps were lukewarm, indicating they had set up under heat lamps instead of being served immediately after they were finished.* The brussel sprouts were under cooked* The 8 ounce filet was cooked correctly (mid-rare) but it was tough and difficult to cut.* The sea bass was just ok but not worth the price.* After the entrees were served the server did not come back to table to check on our meals. So the service overall was spotty at best.When the manager came to our table I related our experience with the appetizer and he mentioned something about their process that shouldn't allow this to happen and he would investigate. I suppose he did investigate but he never came back to our table to close the loop with us. The "hospitality solution" would have been to comp the appetizer (stuffed mushrooms) but that did not happen. It seemed as though he didn't want to deal with their service fail issue.It was a birthday celebration and we had an expectation of paying the Ruth's Chris premium - which we did. Unfortunately we did not receive an enjoyable experience so the 'price to value' ratio was simply not met.Obviously I'm disappointed in our experience. Greensboro has several dining establishments that in the future we will be pursuing instead of returning to Ruth's Chris.

25% more expensive, 15% less quality - I still love the filet on the sizzling plate - but for the up-charge over other greensboro fine dining places (undercurrent, printworks, b-christophers, etc), you'd expect everything to be spot on. Instead, our dinners came while we were just atarting our appetizer (in spite of my asking them to give is a little time), then we were half way through dinner before our server came back so I could order wine with dinner, the long empty appetizer plate was still crowding our table when dinner was finished and our finished plates remained until the check came, and my water glass stood empty for way too long. Small things - staff were all friendly but clearly not well trained and managed. Go elsewhere - you'll spend less and enjoy the service you deserve for a big night out.
