Went to the new location ordered and waited 1 hour along with 4 other people and finally told that they where not even there today even though the sign stated 2-8pm at the order screen. So we had to call our banks to cancel payments on the food. Totally unprofessional. When you can find them the food is usually great. The City kitchen location is just hard to navigate and get service then you dont even know if the restaurant you order from is even open or not.

Decent food, but completely un reliable and mismanaged. I booked this food truck for my wedding on my property and paid a deposit 6 months before my wedding. I confirmed with them 10 days before my wedding about arrival and what time they should be there the set up. They completely ghosted me ON MY WEDDING DAY! We tried all day to get ahold of them the day of the wedding. Nothing. No response. Finally at 5:30 that evening we got a phone call during our wedding to tell us they were at Summerfield Farms and could not find us. Summerfield Farms??? No clue how they went there. They proceeded to argue with us that we had not paid our deposit and wouldn’t come to serve our guests. When they finally arrived they would not pull down my driveway b/c “they were not good at backing in”. My guests had to walk up away from my wedding to get food…and then they tried to charge my guests for the food as they ordered. Zero communication. I would not trust them to show up if you book them for an event. We were not offered an apology or any form of communication about what happened. We paid our bill at the end of the night. The only reason we had them show up was b/c we had no more food options to choose from as a back up plan. They offered us nothing for their mistake. So disappointed.

Smokin mac food truck was ok. I think I would have enjoyed another menu item much better. It was prepared and presented well, but I wasn't expecting the flavor profile. I would try it again but did not personally like the carolina chicken.

I will say few things,Food is definitely great, probably best smoked brisket I had and Mac n cheese. However, the amount of money I paid to get these (attached picture) is absurd. I got better deal at Black Powder (which is great bbq place too) for 3 times cheaper. Almost $30 after a tip to get 1/4 of brisket, 1 chopped bacon, and 1/4 of chicken, 5 shrimps plus mac n cheese plate (thank god there was enough of that).Very expensive place, very for so little, just disappointing.

Best vegan mac I’ve ever had! It’s hard to tell the difference between their vegan mac and a normal Mac n cheese. It’s so creamy and cheesy. Haven’t found any other vegan Mac that even comes close.

The food is on point! Plenty of cheesy and creamy goodness. Enough for two! I also tried the wings. Very tasty. I have eaten from the food truck but this particular day I ordered food for delivery. As you can see in the photos very well packaged. No spillage. If kept this review short because you should be ordering not reading. Sooooo good

I've only visited the food truck at Joy Mongers and it was bomb! The mac and cheese is made with penne pasta which holds in all the creamy goodness of the cheese sauce. Lots of different toppings to choose from and you get a big tray. You can easily split with a few people. Can't wait to visit the restaurant.

My wife heard about this place and their food truck. She thought we needed to try it while in the area. We stopped by their brick and mortar location about 4pm on a Saturday which is located at 5002 High Point Road in Greensboro. They have limited hours. They are closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and open from 2pm to 8pm the rest of the week. We were very surprised when we walked inside. It was nothing like we anticipated. There were no tables. It is located in a small strip mall where everything looks similar on the front with the signs above the establishments. We actually thought we walked into the wrong place, the walls were black with chairs around the perimeter and the center completely open. There were a couple of framed Chicago Bulls posters on the wall and one TV mounted on the wall near them. There were three posters with inspirational messages on them and a drink cooler. Someone came to the counter shortly after we walked inside. All items are packaged to-go. The menu was on the counter where you place your order with the register next to it. After checking out the menu, we thought the prices were high but we had anticipated that based on other reviews. We each decided on The Original Mac for $15 each. We had a seat at two of the chairs against the wall. No one else entered or left while we were there. Less than 15 minutes after we placed our order, we were provided with our to go order. The bag felt very heavy and we proceeded to our car to check them out. After opening and distributing everything which was very nicely packaged, we opened the containers. The top was a little hard as if it had been baked in an oven. After breaking through the top, the inside was very creamy with hot penne pasta mac and cheese and bacon crumbles. It was delicious! This is some of the best mac and cheese we have had. Although this was pretty amazing, the cost feels like too much for the masses and the physical location definitely needs some work. We may be back, but this will not be a regular visit. There are too many other places out there to try.
