While you might miss the turn to this restaurant, So-sapp is truly a hidden gem in Greensboro that brings the community authentic Lao's cuisine. I got their chicken wings, baby ribs, sausage, and papaya salad to try and everything was cooked well. I loved the chicken wings and papaya salad, it was seasoned well and went well with their spicy dipping sauce. The papaya salad is spicy, so please advise if you can't handle the heat! Service was good and it was very much self-served for the most part. The restaurant also was decorated well with memories on Polaroid pictures.

Small, fast food to go style Lao food. The sausage was different from the normal flavors I'm used to, maybe fewer herbs. The chicken wings were big and juicy. I would've preferred a little bit more sticky rice with the combo, though. The papaya salad was juicy as well but tasted okay. It was missing something.

Really enjoyed my first time here but my second visit was pretty disappointing. We got 2 of the combos and having worked in the restaurant business myself I could tell the oil needed to be changed. Our skewers and ribs came out super dark and on the dry side. We ordered pad Thai to go and I was sad to find the tofu came out the same way.

So Saap (so delicious) indeed! One of the best authentic Lao food in the area. Everything we ordered was delicious and the items were ready pretty quickly. I had asked for the papaya extra spicy and they delivered.

This is the kind of place I've been looking for in Greensboro for years! Their food is incredible, especially their pork skewers and fried rice. The family that owns it is wonderful, and the service has always been excellent. They've treated us like regulars since our first visit, and we've since lived up to that treatment!
