I went to Bill’s at lunch for the first time today! What a fun hot dog! I got it all the way with mustard, onions (I love onions) and the mysterious chili(which was delicious, I’m sure) I know it was spicy, but the onions took over the flavor. So next time I’m getting one with just chili and one with just mustard. Because you can’t eat just one. They are that good!

So I decided to stop by for lunch, it was my first time coming here. As soon as I walked in the place the first thing I noticed was several people not wearing masks but the workers did have masks and gloves. It was kinda of hard to practice social distancing because the inside is sort of small and there was no marking on the floor to practice social distancing also some people didn't have masks as I mentioned before. But their hot dogs were good. They didn't taste like other hots dogs or maybe bc I hadn't ate a hot dog in a while. Not sure if I would come back.

On my first (and probably only) trip to Bill's, I ordered the hot dog combo with fries and a bottled Pepsi. I was excited to see them frying the Eastern North Carolina classic Brightleaf hot dog to us as a base for their dog. The fries were also made fresh, fried right in front of me. The ladies that work in the restaurant are really kind and very helpful. When I got to the car and realized there was no chili on my hotdog, I took them back in and they gladly remade them for me. The fries were top-notch--hot, crispy and perfectly seasoned. They were addicting and delicious! This was the first time in a long time that I drank Pepsi in the glass bottle. It was as good as I remembered, if not better. It was a perfect complement to the fries. Unfortunately, the hot dogs were not what I expected. The hot dog was cooked well and mustard was quality and out on the dogs in just the right amount. The big disappointment was the chili, this is the second restaurant in Greenville I've been to where the chili has no detectable meat and is more like a watery bean puree. Though it is flavorful, it didn't make the hot dog complete and leaves much to be desired in the realm of texture and flavor. I don't know if this is a regional-style of chili, but it is not a traditional chili. While many seem to enjoy it, I don't think it's for me. Hence, I won't be returning for the dogs and admit its a bit too far out of my way for an order of fries and a Pepsi.

This place now. If there ever was a dog to beat all dogs my vote would be here, where they're as southern as their iced tea! A 2 dog combo with chips is a good way to start. Nothing less than all the way for complete happiness! Their chili that they slather on is complete and absolute perfect zestyness! Never had anything like it and probably never will. Been there 3 times in the last week and definitely will make my way in there as frequent as possible! Best dogs ever!

The chili is nothing but spicy mustard. Worse hotdogs ever and service was equal. Lunchtime on Tuesday 1:00 had no fries no diet drink and attitudes to match.

This is thE first time I've been to Bills. I have heard about Bills for a hike but don't live in the area. I followed the sign that said turn left and bam, there I was. The staff are extremely friendly and the walk-in restaurant appeared Betty clean. You will not get your traditional meat chili but a strange greenish chili that taste amazing. No ketchup please on my hotdogs, I didn't even see that's as an option, perfect. The hotdog was cook extremely well done which is how I like mine. The fries weRe super crispy. Going back soon.
