Food was bland and soggy. I ordered the tacos with catfish. I got lettuce on it and it looked out of date, kind of brown. There is better seafood in Greenville. Husband got a beer that was also out of date. The woman who served us was friendly.

Shrimp was chewy and bland. Couldn’t tell it was fresh. Seemed like tiny frozen shrimp from Food Lion. Mahi was way over cooked.Table was sticky.Very disappointing meal. Service was kind but I will not be back.

The food was very good, that was the first time having fresh real seafood, the staff were very friendly and I will enjoy coming back again.

I had the large shrimp plate and they were delicious because they were cooked perfectly and they are the real deal being North Carolina caught shrimp. Thats a big deal when it comes to flavor. Most restaurants use the imported China farmed shrimp but not at Washington Crab Restaurant. We are lucky to have this restaurant in Greenville. Thankyou. Charles Baker.

It's a hard NO. Had high hopes for this place, but it was a huge letdown. To start, the person taking my order knew nothing at all about the menu. I asked if they had salmon and her answer was I dono and it was the daily special written next to her..The prices were very affordable which was appealing to me, but I should've known that meant quality would suffer. The raw oysters were not served on ice which was highly sus. And they were just not good at all. Some tasted rotten. We prayed we wouldn't get sick after eating a couple. I also got a half a pound of regular peel and eat shrimp and it was soo bad:( overcooked, rubbery, no taste. I didn't think shrimp could be messed up this bad. You are better off going to a non seafood place or captain Ds lol. For real. I feel bad for this place cuz it's never very busy and I wanted to support local, but the food was just not good. On the plus side, the fried oysters were not bad and hush puppies were the good soft kind served with honey butter. But not enough for me to ever come back:(

Great food. Except this place fires people who are being harassed even when they approach it in a mature manner. If they treat their employees like this I don’t want to go there no more. Disgusting.

This was my first order. The delivery was fast and packed perfectly!! I got plenty of shrimp, however I ordered fried shrimp. It’s fine they took care of this and I now know they have excellent seasoned steamed shrimp! Don’t hesitate to order. Generous portions and a great price. I can’t wait to try the fried shrimp!

On July 17, 2022, a party of 5..got there at 7:30pm and was immediately told they closed at 8pm and she didn't say it friendly. (There was 1 other party of 2 in there eating and the staff of several people were standing behind the counter doing nothing!) The lady told us we had to be finished eating by 8 too and it would take probably at least 15 minutes to cook our food after we ordered. I have never been in a Restaurant before they closed and treated this way. I always thought if you were there before the closing time, you got served. We will never go back. There is no telling how much business the owner is losing by his staff not wanting to serve. Good luck Washington Crab at keeping this Restaurant open!

My first visit was amazing.I ordered blue crabs and they were seasoned to perfection. The crabs were delicious big & meaty. Staff were nice & welcoming. Not to mention, the butter on the side , for dipping 10 out of 10⭐ Definitely the best crabs in town & surrounding areas.

I ordered with DoorDash. I have tried them twice. First time I got the catfish sandwich. The catfish was meh but the lettuce was brown and slimy. I had to pull it all off. The fries were soggy and had no salt or flavor. But I decided to try again. This time I got the mahi bites with fries again. Everything was so soggy it was slightly damp. And my office is on the same road as Washington crab- so literally 5 mins away at most. Again fries were not seasoned at all, and it was a super small portion. Think like a McDonald’s small. Also, aren’t they called bay French fries? Does that allude to some type of seasoning? Or just a fancy meaningless name? Then the mahi had absolutely no flavor. Like the breading was literally just bread. Not a drop of salt, just nothing. I saw another comment up here saying they have blackened or Cajun flavor. Neither of those options are available on DoorDash. Also wondering if they make the cocktail sauce in house, because it is gross. Ketchup would literally be better. Between two orders, I spent $45. Absolute waste.

Awesome place, awesome vibes. Not a lot of good seafood in the area. Definitely would go back, without a doubt. Love their other location too!!

This is the 1st time I have ever posted a review on anything. My wife and I ate their last night. Friendly staff. The food was just not good. I ordered the fried shrimp and scallops with coleslaw and French fries. The shrimp was over cooked. I had one spoonful of the coleslaw and it was not moist. I can’t exactly say what was wrong. My wife ordered the clam strips. She ate them but said they were not good. Then the crabs my wife ordered came out. She tried to eat them but they were not seasoned. At this point I asked the manager to refund me for the shrimp. As a comprise she refunded the clam strips. We left their almost as hungry as when we arrived. We went to another restaurant for wings. I will say the scallops were good. I do wonder with most of the negative reviews surrounding the food not being seasoned, why that has not been addressed. Our original cost including tip was $69.00. That’s to much money to spend at a restaurant for sub par food.

This place has the potential to be great but there are some issues:-breading on fried shrimp is too thick..it's like eating little doughy shrimp biscuits...-Staff needs training..they are very polite BUT they don't know the product..most questions are answered.."I'm not sure"...this kills sales-teach them bagging symmetry, so product doesn't tumble and spill (shecrab soup)-steamed crabs had no seasoning even though I asked and was told that they would-develop a way to secure shrimp tacos in Togo plateReally hope this place makes it!!!

I can't in good conscience recommend Washington Crab. We had no idea it was counter service when we chose to go there, but the best part of our experience was the service. Props to Dell who was exceptionally pleasant & helpful regarding the menu. We both got fried food...it was all greasy & bland. Shrimp & fish were overcooked, crab cake wasn't. Although they call them "Bay French fries," they were fried fresh out of the bag & there was zero seasoning on them. The coleslaw was awful. The hushpuppies were probably the best thing we ate. The fried pickles were good, but also greasy & the remoulade was good! I saw some shrimp tacos & some steamed shrimp that looked good. Maybe steamed is the way to go there. We MAY go back & try those. It's questionable.

We got the low country boil for two and it was pretty good. The three clams per person did not have much in them. I also do not like that you have to pay before you eat. When you pay with credit card you have to tip before you even know how the service will be.
