For a first-time experience it was really good, the cocktail shrimp I ordered took a long time, but the said they prepare it fresh, it was good, but not over the top on taste, as I order this meal often in many restaurants. I do recommend this place as it does great quality. Small yet comfortable.

The Altered Book Nook
This is absolutely the best Mexican Restaurant in Eastern NC..worth the drive.We come at least twice a week. Oh and the Sasa is awesome..

The food is usually good. It’s the service that’s poor. The young man at the window is rude and doesn’t listen. His customer service is awful. I tried explaining to him that my order was incorrect and he wouldn’t listen enough to comprehend and this is my third rude encounter with him.

Man oh man, do I thank my lucky stars that google recommended this place. I ordered the veggie fajita and when I tell you, you can taste the love. Omg kiss the chef! Everything is perfect, I was gonna try to save some for lunch tomorrow but it’s too delicious. There will be no leftovers and the portion size is perfect. I ordered takeout but I will definitely be coming for a visit again. 10/10 For sure.
