We have dined here once and it is our favorite restaurant in Hendersonville. The duck, seafood dish, mussels, and Ceasar salad were excellent. Our server was curtious. We asked her to take our photo and she readily complied. We wanted to celebrate a birthday. The chef walked the room several times and made great converstation. We wanted to know how the duck was made and he spelled it out in great detail; this made us appreciated the serving even more when we learned all that was involved in its preparation. The wine list was very good. We had a California Cabernet Sauvignon (Truth Dark & Jammy-2017). It was $42 and well worth it. Besides the food, we liked the ambience. Also the noise level was very low. In too many Hendersonville restaurants one cannot carry on a conversation because of the noise, but we had no difficulty in conversing here. We plan on returning often to Skylaranna.

Restaurant recently reopened for the season and it appears they are working out the kinks with service. Our server forgot to bring out a salad we ordered as a starter; didn't bring my wife the extra condiments she had asked for; didn't know the correct wine glasses to use for our red wine we ordered, etc. We were disappointed. On the food side, my wife had the burger which was excellent, and my NY Strip was very good as were the truffle mash potatoes.

The drinks and atmosphere were great. The server was very new, overwhelmed, and inexperienced. We received our entrees before she brought the first salad out. One baked potato never showed up, so my sister-in-law ended up with just an a 4oz filet and no salad and no baked potato. They were short on bread plates. We never received a pepper shaker even after requesting one and no tables had pepper on them. We received two different menus with different items. One was outdated, she said, but they were short on new ones. For such a nice venue with beautiful mountain views, it is a shame that this restaurant was so disappointing.

Excellent service and tasty food.Update: I just have to say after visiting a few times over the last few years this place might be the best hidden gem Hendersonville has to offer. The upgrades have really impressed me and the service level is absolutely impeccable. Food has always been outstanding and even impressed my very hard to please family members.I can't wait to come for a spa day with my fiance.Keep up the great work. I will be recommending you to everyone I know.

When you walk inside, there is no host to greet you for your reservation. We stood around for a bit until the bartender sat us. The staff work as a team, so we were checked on a good bit and never went without. The service was great, the food was delicious.

Our food was good. The service was not good. We were seated about four feet from the servers station, too close and way too noisy. It was a busy evening and the servers and host were running around like crazy, at times seemed unorganized. I cannot recommend this restaurant to friends or family.
