This is a true hidden gem in Hickory. My friend & I visited for breakfast & we thoroughly enjoyed or experience. This place is not fancy, it's very low key. There is limited seating but we chose a booth that allowed us to see the planes taking off while we ate, which was super cool. Our server was the only one working at the time & she was so kind & personable. While she was cooking our breakfast it felt like we were in her kitchen waiting for a home cooked meal. The food was fantastic & the portions were hefty. Definitely recommend this place & rumor has it their burgers are wonderful.

Well says open till 2. Ask if we can order a to go for breakfast meal. Cook gets mad with attitude. So we said we'll order lunch then to go. Server comes back very apologetic because cook turned off grill with attitude again and says water in the building gets turned off at 2. If you can't serve during your open time the. Close at appropriate time. Will never return here due to cooks above and beyond showing of attitude and un happiness. What kinda of place is this? Waffle house by far is better service. The server was VERY nice and was caught in the middle as the cook was rude to her as well. Tried to time eating before have to leave. Now can't eat. What a joke. No need to respond won't even bother with the place. Too bad server was so sweet.

If you like eating old style hamburgers while looking at vintage aircraft this is a place for you. Food is fantastic, the ladies are fun, friendly and courteous. The prices are comparable. If your in the area stop in.

We were in the area and stopped in for lunch. Small café but really good food and a very friendly waitress/cook who checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. My wife and I split a really large club sandwich and our granddaughter had breakfast food and we were all pleased. Definitely worth stopping in if in the area.

Good food, service, and grear atmosphere if you like airplanes and aviation. Drive in and park, or fly in and park your plane on the terminal ramp just a few feet away from the cafe.

This place is at the airport and it is SMALL! However, they also operate a catering service, so the food is always fresh & delicious.

Hidden gem! Inexpensive breakfast (and lunch) that is better and less expensive than comparable places. Small and prone to getting busy. As busy as they were, the three ladies that were working were all happy and welcoming. Bonus is that you can fly in and have a bite!
