I hate to complain but this is the 2nd time my order was not correct. I ordered a rib basket that was supposed to come with one side and hush puppies. I asked for slaw. I got fries and no hush puppies.On the other hand, the ribs were very good. I didn't want the fries so didn't eat them and there were no hush puppies.Same thing happened on my last take out order. With cars behind me, I'm not going to take everything out of the bag and open the box to check it! The person who took my order repeated it to me correctly.

Ordered food for pickup today first time eating here and wow sadly the worst food I’ve eaten in a while. Mac n cheese and hush puppies were the only edible part of what I got brisket tasted really bland and was super fatty, corn cob tastes like it was boiled in dishwater.
Went here earlier tonight, and honestly, wasn't too good. Sure, the service, onion rings and tater tots were on point, but the smoked chicken and hush puppies were not so good. It was dry and tasteless. It's 3 hours after I ate, and I'm now feeling sick as a result of eating the chicken. I don't recommend this to be honest.

Great restaurant and if it proves to be as good next time, an easy 5 star. Ate at the Claremont location a number of years ago and it was good, but I can't extrapolate from one to another. I was in the Hickory area today and looking for a good place for lunch. Been awhile since I have had BBQ and decided to try this one. What complicated things was that Susan was in Pittsburgh and I had Watson the Corgi with me and did not want to leave him in the car for an extended period of time. Walked in and was promptly seated although no thanks to my Iphone. I asked for directions when I was at the Mall and it said 5.3 miles and driving time of 2hours 13 minutes. Followed it and I knew something was off when ti told me to turn left onto NC 127 N and I knew it was NC 127S. Simple lunch of a Smoked BBQ sandwich with a side of Onion Rings. All was good and while I normally ask for no pickles. That said, if it's served with slaw, I normally ask for no slaw and it's not because I don't like slaw. I love slaw if it's fresh and nice and crispy and not soggy. Around here, you order something with slaw, the juice from the cabbage along with the mayonnaise become a slimy mess after 30 minutes. Was going to kick myself when sandwich came out but on first bite, the slaw was perfect with a nice crunch and texture to it. In addition, for my friend, Watson the Welsh Corgi, I ordered the Angus Cheeseburger with no buns, lettuce, tomatoes, or other condiment to go. Great service and very attentive. While I was waiting, my iced tea was refilled at least 4 times without asking. Looking over the place, not fancy and very rudimentary but clean and neat and very utilitarian. Sandwich came out and it was great. The BBQ is perfect and has the sweet taste that comes from hickory smoke. Was disappointed a first because it had no bite to it but then I realized the sauces were on the table and they were quite good. God Onion Rings as a side and they were great. I strongly recommend this restaurant because it hit all the marks and is a solid place to go. After I left, I drove home with Watson's Togo stripped down Cheeseburger and when we got home, he had half to the Cheeseburger and will get the other half tomorrow. Watson give it a four paws rating.

I will not be coming back anytime in the near future,The group of people that come every Friday The Miller's the ones that think there so godly and perfect,the ones that only sit there and bash on Gay People and Blacks And Politics constantly every Time they sit down you are not any Christians I know that down talk about people like that,if you hate Gays and Black People please do the world a favor and STAY HOME.The Owner Needs To Know How This Group Of People Really Are.
