It was late in evening and restaurant was closing within 30 minutes. I ordered pulled chicken and smoked turkey breast. The chicken was pretty good; but the turkey appeared to have been sitting out all day. It was very dry and even had a brownish-yellow appearance on the side facing up. I understand it's late in day, but this should have never been shared with a customer. I didn't share details with waitress. Whoever played the food knew what they were doing.

I visited 5/5/24 with my dad and bonus mom. I absolutely loved it. I had the turkey club with fries, and we all tried the Dr pepper texas sheet cake, it was delicious. My dad got a half slab of ribs with green bean casserole and sweet potato casserole, it was superb, and my bonus mom had the chef salad with chicken, it was huge. Our waitress was awesome, an absolute delight. Can't wait to go again.

Mind-blastingly good. The brisket and the green bean casserole are amazing. The hush puppies are great, as is the mac & cheese. But whatever you do, don't miss the brisket and green bean casserole.I'm usually too lazy to leave reviews, but not for something this good.

Tried to eat here tonight, came in to a half full restaurant with three tables needing to be bused and none other available. We waited 13 minutes standing quietly aside trying to provide them time because we know things are a little busy. Three waitresses not only never cleared a table, seemed in no rush to do so, but didn’t even acknowledge our existence. Not a hello, not a “give us a minute”, nothing. We left without complaining, but I thought others should know this could happen to them as well.

I had the pulled chicken and turkey breast with 3 sides. The cream corn wasn't my favorite, and the meat was delicious, but the turkey was definitely better. Service was good but a bit slow, and I had to ask for drink refills, but she joked along with us and made it a fun experience. I would go back.

Stopped in hickory for lunch while traveling 40. I got the pulled pork sandwich on the cornbread bun with coleslaw and pickles. The sandwich was really good. The coleslaw was finely chopped making it easy to eat. I got a side of potato salad, which was meh. Not much flavor. My husband got the bunk house beans, which I also thought were meh, not much flavor. He got brisket and liked it. Overall, I was happy, and I would maybe just try other sides if I ever return.

Best Hickory NC BBQ I've found. This place is small but great! They have the smoker out front so you see and smell it, it's awesome! The BBQ and Chicken are both delicious. The things that bumped it to a 4 for me is the service and hush puppies. The service is not BAD, but it's not GREAT... it's a happy medium. Granite they are always busy, but whether you are at a table or at the bar, it's about the same. They can be slow when it comes to service, but in no means is it bad. The hush puppies aren't my favorite side, but I enjoy some good hush puppies. They are a 6/10 here, again not terrible but not the best I've had. Overall this place is amazing! I am a frequent and will continue to be.

First time visiting. Pleasant interior and friendly staff Ordered 3 meats and 2 sides. BBQ Chicken and pulled pork and beef brisket. Cowboy beans, sweet potato casserole and hush puppies. Best was the brisket for tenderness and flavor. Pork was tasty, but fatty. Chicken was moist and flavorful. Hush puppies were over fried. Sweet potato casserole was way too sweet and Cowboy beans had no flavor. Good amount of food for the money. I would return for the beef brisket.
