I was excited to try Popeye's for the first time, so I downloaded the app. I gave them a number for my special in the app. I got no receipt. I got no points on my app. I asked for a receipt, when I drove back through the drive thru. The woman at the window said I didn't AX for a receipt, and it was too much trouble to print me one. I contacted corporate. They gave me $5 on the app. I'm not satisfied with incompetence.

I try desperately not to give a place one Star, but it's more than justified here. Not only was the quality of the food laughably bad, the price is simply insane: I was given 8 skinny tenders that were overcooked, a small fry instead of large, and 3 of those tenders were regular when I asked for spicy. With two biscuits and a large drink added, my total was a whopping $26 dollars! All of that for some low quality food.

They messed up my order through the app. I ordered 3 piece white meat Cajun and only got a wing and breast and some watery mashed potatoes. She wouldn't give me what I ordered and said you have to do it through the app.. when I complained The MANAGER threw a wad of greasy napkins in my face at the drive through. Then laughed in my face. The company didnt do a thing about it. Also you can't just randomly order a breast and more separate. It's all going to stripes now. Also $18 now for one person.

DO NOT VISIT THIS POPEYES EVER!!!! The service is a 0 for me and I mean inside and drive-thru SMH. I attempted to order food thru drive-thru yesterday and it was 2 other cars in front of me which the car at the window IDK what was going on, but I sat in line for 15 minutes before I FINALLY drove off. This one needs to be under new management and started over from scratch because its unacceptable and it is not being managed well.

I came to the hickory location around 8:45pm on Dece 15,2023. I ordered the 5piece tender combo and it was absolutely horrible. First the lady asked me spicy or original and I told her original. When I got my meal I received expired tender that where so hard and crusted that the breading crumbled off when I went to eat it and could barely chew the tender from them being so hard(old) I asked for Mac and cheese and the lady said "we out" so I opted for red beans and rice. That was another disgrace. There was a crusty film around the bowl and what remained was a dry rice with not a single moisture left in it. The tea tasted like dirt syrup with not signs of tea being present. Again the location does not close until 10:00pm. I was on a short break so I circled back around and began to call the so. After three attempts no one picked the phone up. I tried back to back and on the fourth time the phone gave a busy signal. I watched as there was no one in drive thru yet no one picked up the phone. This was a waste of a break and not to mention it did not get replaced.I was so frustrated I ended up trashing the whole meal and was not able to get a manager on the phone for a refund. Tomorrow I will call the location to seek a full refund. I'm not a happy person and I understand it get busy in thefast food industry but quality should always be the top goal

Stopped at this location once more could have swore the chicken I ordered was not spicy we went back through the drive through the manager said she packed the order herself and it was intact spicy but what we tasted was not spicy at all she remade the order. What's going on here with Popeyes in Hickory N.C could they be loosing touch with reality this location use to be very busy 30 minute wait + no its like a ghost town very few cars if any but they stii seem to struggle with the same old problems from their busy days .oh well the manager there made it right but still Popeyes is loosing their touch ?.

My $12 combo was so deep fried that it was hard and crunchy. No honey mustard. They charge too much for their disgusting food. Will not make a mistake and go again. It's been nasty all three times I've went. The girl at the window was sweet though.

She needs training in customer service, or just how to talk to and treat people with the same respect she would want to be treated with, period. I would not hire this young lady to work at a company I was running, period. There was another young lady who came up a few minutes later that must have noticed, and she was very nice and very helpful and respectful. Thank you to this young lady!
