“On very busy nights, the service can be off sometimes (which is understandable, everyone can get overwhelmed from time to time). However, the Hickory Wine Shoppe is a nice place to go for a few glasses of wine, wine slushies, or appetizers. It is not a place to go if you are on a tighter budget, definitely a splurge kind of date night.“

Josh greeted us at the door and was also our server and he was absolutely awesome!Duke’s has an extensive wine list with so many great choices.The ‘regular’ menu as well as the specials had so many wonderful selections. I had the house salad with blue cheese dressing which was fresh and full of flavor. My husband had the Caesar salad which he loved.For dinner I had the crab cake served with asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes and julienne squash and everything was so delicious! There was so much food I brought half of it home and I can’t wait till lunch tomorrow!My husband had the sushi grade tuna with fried rice and he loved it.Included with our meal was a lovely dessert sampling , (delicious and just the right size) and we left so satisfied but not stuffed.Go to Duke’s! “My partner and I were promptly seated in a spacious booth. The atmosphere pleasant to the senses, wasnt crowded or noisy, with a comfortable temperature. The cosmopolitan and IPA arrived quickly with a tall glass of iced water. The potato skins appetizer, which followed shortly thereafter, was average. Our meals..my meal consisted of a crunchy fresh wedge salad with a deliciously chunky blue cheese dressing and chunks of blue cheese, and a perfectly cooked baked potato. My partner had a chicken sandwich with broccoli, which didn't last long. He said the chicken was cooked perfectly tender and tasty with toppings he requested, the broccoli was steamed. Our waitress, was friendly and knowledgeable, but not bothersome. Excellent service.“
“The new menu is quite good. The only thing needed is more appetizers. The bar tender was good last evening and our waiter, Joshua, was very good. Some new and different desserts along with lower prices, and I think everything will be back on track!! Enjoyable evening!!“

The pricing was incredibly reasonable; we got to sample four different meads for just $12 per person! It left us with a delightful buzz. The diverse selection of beers and wines added to the experience. I loved the cute little wall stump where you can leave your mark, and the live music provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable date night or hangout. Highly recommend this hidden gem!“
