AMAZING food and great atmosphere. Waiter disappeared and drinks went dry, that was annoying. Found out later it's run by a Christian cult. If that makes things awkward for you then you might want to skip it.Vegetarian options: Veggie burger

I really enjoy the folksy charm this restaurant had. It truly feels like you are walking into another place and time. Watching the mini elevator deliver food to the upstairs part of the restaurant was fascinating. The food smelled and tasted amazing. I don’t think I have ever had a sandwich taste so good! The wait staff are super friendly, but you might have to wait a little. Overall, this is must stop place if you are passing through Alexander county.

We've heard many good stories about this place, but always seemed to be near it on the only day they're closed.(Saturday) They're open every other day 24hrs. I got the Chicken Alexander with a cup of chili and let me tell you, it was excellent! The sandwich had a hearty amount of meat and equal distribution of condiments. The bread tasted like it was fresh baked! Chili wasn't at all spicy, but had great flavor and came with jalapeño cornbread. After the meal I had to try the sweet potato pound cake and be very sure you save room for it! Absolutely mouth watering! Comes out soft and warm with some kind of sweet drizzle and walnuts pieces. We set out on the balcony and enjoyed the fresh air and views. I highly recommend you stop in and give them a try sometime! You won't be sorry! Don't forget they're closed on Saturday though!!Update: service was absolutely HORRIBLE this trip! Our waitress only returned to bring our check and forgot our to go orders. I had been out of water for over 30 minutes! Absolutely unacceptable!!Update: food is still really good, but service is still terrible especially if they seat you upstairs. 2 hours tonight for us to eat and then finally get our bill.
