Waitress and staff were super friendly but the food was terrible. Not what I would consider typical bbq or slaw. Very bland and dry.

I'm probably going to get hate for this but the hush puppies I got were way way too oily . They use way to much vinegar and gives the meat a sour taste. This place has a lot of history and maybe I got a bad batch, or just not the same care is going into the food anymore

We had a wonderful meal in a small comfortable restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was good also.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant was very mobility friendly. The parking lotis nice and level, and the door is easy to get in and out of.

Visited today for the first time in 20 years. Business used to take me that way. Having retired, I wanted to go back. Everything about this place is real and authentic. Met Susan the owner, and came away so impressed. The story of the company is so what our country was built on. Everything is made from scratch using original recipes. Please stop in, you won’t be disappointed. And the hot dog is also excellent!

Vinegar based barbecue was not for my taste buds ,but staff was friendly and from the looks of it they have repeat customers.

I've eaten a lot of BBQ in my life, from many different places. I hate to say this was the absolute worst BBQ I've ever eaten. We literally had to throw it out. Vinegar over powered any remote taste of bbq. I know it's vinegar based.. this taste like pure vinegar. No hint of any other flavor. The only thing that was decent was the hush puppies. Omg..I just can't begin to tell you how bad it was. I am so disappointed at the total waste of money we spent. Money we could've definitely used eating somewhere else. We're now making ham sandwiches and chips for dinner

My first time visiting. Their BBQ was awesome the dip was vinegar based and I liked that but It surprised me because I normally have BBQ from Lexington and the dip is different but I like it and I'll be stopping in when I'm in town from now on.
This is a vintage Restaurant on Main Street in High Point. It's a place where you go for a quick in and out meal, preferably lunch. If you want an old-fashioned barbecue Sandwich or hot dog, this is a quick place to get that fix.It is a great change from all of the other commercial eating establishments. If you want to walk back in time to a place and time that we're more simpler than today, then you can make believe you are "Dining in the 60s."Kid-friendliness: You can entertain the children by telling them. This is the way diners looked like when you were a kid.
