Lulu and Blu has the best Italian food in High Point!! They have a great cocktail list and just really good food all around.

We were in for a wild card and so pleasantly surprised! We made a reservation (didn't need to but pretty sure the reservation got us a nicer table!) and came in at 6. Greeted and seated by charming young folks, and quickly brought water by a very kind server. We ordered two NA beers (so exciting when they have NA options!) and the Lulu Dip to start. This was like spinach artichoke dip on steroids: the sun dried tomatoes gave it the perfect tang to get past the creamy cheese and rich artichoke. The crostini was perfection. We are both vegetarian, not vegan, and were excited by the options! We got the carbonara (vegetarian, because cheese is life) and the vegan pasta with regular cheese. The server came out and asked a question from the chef: if we wanted to do 'normal' pasta aka a filled ricotta pasta and we happily went with the suggestion. The food was incredible! First the carbonara: the yolk, wow. The creamy and peppery deliciousness: I'm not sure what vegan meat they use but it's fantastic! Rich, delicious and the pasta....i gotta know if it's made there or fresh or...such a fun shape! It was a long, slightly thick noodle with a hole in the center. Loved it. The vegan: full of veggies, creamy and just the right amount of sweet. The pasta recommendation was incredible: ricotta filled slightly chubby pasta with a perfect chew. Definitely get fresh pepper, and the artichokes didn't get lost. The veggies were definitely part of the dish versus what happens often with veggies: so often they are dumped in as a 'let's throw all the veggies in this dish!' Incredible, excited to come back for another date night!

Nice menu, great service! I just wish the pasta noodles hadn't been overcooked. Al dente was not the case with my mushy noodles with the vegan pasta. If the flavor had overpowered the noodles being overcooked, it would've been a different score. But in my case, lack of flavor and over salting just gave me a :-( with the dish that I experienced. Doesn't mean I wouldn't try it again I just think I had one bad overcooked pasta dish on this occasion.

We chose LL&B to celebrate a Birthday celebration. Food was really good and the service was really good. When we were near the end of our meals, we informed the waitress that we had a cake to share. She offered to provide us fresh forks (we had brought our own paper plates) and we even cut her a slice to enjoy. When we got the bills (3 couples) we were shocked that EACH of us were charged a $5 "Cakeage Fee". The waitress never once mentioned that this would happen. They didn't cut and plate our cake, we did that ourselves. There was only a couple of other tables that were in use at the restaurant, so it's not like we were taking up a table when there were waiting parties. THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE!!! This really put a damper on our otherwise wonderful experience. Due to this, none of us will EVER eat there again and we will tell others of our experience and strongly advise against their patronage. This is a terrible practice and we will never eat at another Blu restaurant again.

We have loved having a great dinner here for years, and tonight was no different - our server, Kate, was efficient, personable, and funny. The food was PERFECTION like always, and even when we were too full from dinner, we still had to have dessert (bread pudding), and finish it completely, because it was delicious! Perfect quaint little spot in High Point for any special occasion, or just a nice night out - you can never go wrong!

The people who work here and own it are AWESOME! I love the menu selection and the daily special items are even better. The atmosphere almost makes you forget you’re in High Point, but rather in a big city. I highly recommend.
When we travel, we likento try different places. Tinight itbwas Lulu and Blue.The Portobello mushroom fries were different but good. The butternut squash ravioli was very good but only got 4 small ravioli mixed in with the sauce and greens. The beef short rib dish was also good. Kate A. was very attentive as our server. Glad we tried it but would not come back.
