Been here a few times, usually on nights when there's a band. I've generally liked the bands. The clientele tends towards the college age, and it can get pretty crowded, but when the weather is nice sometimes they open up the space out back which alleviates that. For how busy it usually is, I've found the staff to be plenty friendly.

This place clearly states that it will be open until 12AM at the latest on week nights from what I looked up. Then the Karen bartenders tell me they got "somewhere to be by 11, so they're closing out tabs at 10 and owner gave them permission." Just cite that your hours are TBD, because I was told by these bartenders, "Oh yeah, you'll be out in the cold waiting for your uber. We don't care. Not our problem. " When you guys didn't say Hours TBD!Update your hours, please. ?

Making your way in the world today takes everything you got. And after all that, sometimes you just want to get away. ?This is my favorite bar in High Point. Reminds me a lot of the Cheers bar from TV. Everybody knows your name. And they are always glad you came.Thursdays are a lot of fun with open mic. Wednesday is also awesome with karaoke. Owners are awesome and the bar staff makes the best drinks. Great selection of beer and wine too!

I visited here for the first time to celebrate a friends birthday with a group of three other girls. The bartenders were very sweet and friendly and we were having a good time. About an hour into our time there we all 4 needed to use the restroom. When we got to the ladies room one of the bartenders was changing the paper towels and offered to let us use the men’s room. We all four went to the men’s room. After being in there for about two minutes someone started banging on the door and we kindly said “someone is in here” and got no response. Then more banging on the door started and again we said someone was in there. The male owner of the bar (after hearing female voices saying the bathroom was occupied) proceeded to let himself into the restroom with a key and started yelling at us to “get the f*** out” and repeatedly kept yelling that at us. Meanwhile my friend was in the middle of getting her pants up and this man continues standing there screaming with the door wide open and his wife behind him also screaming to “get the f*** out”. We asked him what the problem was and why this was happening and his reasoning was that 4 women didn’t need to be in the bathroom together (not sure why that would matter to him) and then started screaming about it being the men’s room. Even after trying to explain that the bartender offered for us to use the men’s room him and his wife continued screaming at us to “get the f*** out”. I have NEVER experienced anything like this in my life. I rarely write a bad review and especially for a small local business but I am in shock and cannot wrap my head around how we were treated for literally going to the bathroom.. needless to say we will not be returning and I will be sure to tell anyone who will listen about this experience.

If you like having your personal space violated, being verbally assaulted, and generally feeling unsafe because of the owners of bars you visit, then 10/10 I can recommend this bar. This man thinks an appropriate way to collect a cover charge is to charge people shouting get the f*ck off my property, as opposed to, y'know, politely asking if we knew there was a $5 cover charge, and informing us where to pay. Utter insanity. Unfortunately for the friendly and hardworking staff, the owner of this establishment is so rude I will never return and tell everyone I know to stay very far away, for their own peace and safety. I'm embarrassed for the people who work for this man, because he is undermining his own business with how ugly he acts. Y'all... Pray for this poor, angry man, he needs some Jesus.

We decided to check out this tavern as there was a band playing. I like the interior decor and staff was nice. They have outdoor seating as well. I don't think I remember seeing a food menu. Drinks were okay and I liked their glasses (see pic)
Had no idea this place was right across street from ballpark. It's a hidden gem Had a dog with me so we sat outside on the patio out back. Nice place inside. Band was setting up as we left. Cool setup with band playing above the patio on the ledge of the upper parkingwas lot. A neighbor told me about a drink called the Orange Crush.....fresh squeezed orange juice, triple sec, vodka and club soda. Not my usual drink but I tried it and I liked it. The bartender said it was a Maryland drink from a former bartender from there.

Nice speak easy vibe.. live music on weekends. Friendly place with personable owners. If you’re a bourbon connoisseur, try the ‘Rabbit Hole’ pricey and worth every cent.. would recommend checking Plank Street Tavern out when you get the chance..

GREAT BAR! Only found out about Plank Street a few months ago but wish I have know about since living in the area! Bartenders are phenomenal, drinks are a fair price, and the atmosphere is amazing. I will miss coming here when I move in a month! Definitely check this place out!
