This was a really good BBQ plate, the Eastern Sauce was spot on. The yellow slaw had a nice tang and hushpuppies excellent.

If you don't mind the service usually being a bit hurried as they usually have a surplus of customers during dinner hours, the food is actually super good if you like NC style BBQ! Ambience is as "big BBQ place" as it gets tho.

Always a treat-- excellent brisket, smoked turkey, pulled pork, etc. Wish there were more gluten free choices for sides though. Service is always great and you can eat outdoors if you choose.

I will be starting with the positive, the food was delicious and cocktail was perfectly balanced. everything was brought to the table by a food runner as was the cocktail for my wife, but i never received any drink that was ordered. our waiter took our order about 20 minutes after being seated and never saw him again. I had to ask one of the two hostess for the check, 35 minutes later our bill arrived. it felt like there was no management in the front end of the restaurant. we were thoroughly disappointed with the service.

By chance, I ended up at the Eno River Brewery and was in need of lunch and was excited to see this as an option that was very close by! From the outside, it looked like a very simple place which was part of the draw for me. Deciding between brisket and pork is usually a challenge for me, so I this time I opted for both with two sides. Both the pork and brisket were good. I would consider the Mac and cheese to just be average but did enjoy the corn pudding. The hush puppies were pretty good too! I'm sorry I don't recall my servicer name, but she was attentive. I thought the food was reasonably priced and would totally return again in the future! Thank you for a great meal!

Food quanika and quality. Messy deliverance and staff seem unconcerned about customer, i.e. refilling water, tea. Napkins. Csr not 5 star. Maybe 2 star. No so clean either in restroom.

The brisket was tender & had a little bit of a smoky flavor & a very faint to non-existing smoke ring. It seemed like the brisket was lightly barbecued then steamed(imo). I prefer brisket w/a definite smoke ring & a crispy barbecued bark on it. Hush puppies, mac & cheese were very tasty. Coleslaw was ok.

We live within walking distance and eat in or take away 4 or 5 times a year. The ribs and pulled pork are reliable. We like the yellow slaw. We also always order the fried okra and extra hushpuppies. This time the okra was soggy, cold, and inedible. The hushpuppies looked and tasted like they started life frozen in a plastic bag. In addition to the shrinking portion sizes, this does not bode well for a Hillsborough institution.
