We have tried Bao now 3 times and have been disappointed each time unfortunately. The soup dumplings are good, but the main dishes have been very disappointing each time. We won’t be going again.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in the Huntersville area. My wife and I went inside seated ourselves. The place was not busy. At least 8 minutes went by and no one came to give us menus, drink orders or anything. I'm not sure what was going on but they made us feel that we were invisible. The bad thing is, is that I've heard about how good the food is. We will not be coming back.

Been here twice. Once over the summer with 3 people and every dish was amazing, right on complexity of flavor. Today, this was less than stellar. Mapo tofu was bland and the pork lacked any depth of flavor. I hope it was just an off day. Eggroll was also mild and so so. Will try again because the 1st time was really great!
Place was busy but I expected that for a Friday night. We made reservations and were seated immediately. Fiancé and I ordered Pan fried pork buns, soup dumpling, steamed chicken bao, and cucumber salad. Food was good. The pork buns were delicious and the soup dumplings were amazing. Atmosphere was cool and the service was fast. It is a bit expensive but nothing crazy.

Great service and great food, we were able to sit at the bar and watch the Carolina game so we liked the environment for that reason! The server was able to help me figure out a gluten free option also which was so helpful, and the Taro bubble tea was amazing :)
