I just came from eating with my family at Charandas Mexican restaurant in sun valley. We have been here before and liked the food. But today was the worst experience ever. They served my son raw chicken tender!! Not half cooked but completely raw. To make things worse, i didn’t notice till he was on his last piece of chicken. How do you serve children raw chicken!! This wasn’t a hair that he found or a bug in his food. We are talking about food poisoning. I am so furious!! Then the manager asked if i was paying the bill smh. Is she crazy! The only bill that will be exchanged is the bill she is going to receive from me if my son gets food poisoning. Do not go here unless you want food poisoning.

We shared the Parrillada ChilangaVery large dish w steak, Chicken, shrimp, pastor, rice, peppers, onions, pinto beans lettuce sour cream it is fantastic! Also I want to point out their food safety rating of 99.5 Congratulations Charanda! There are many high dollar restaurants that have extremely poor ratings we do NOT want to get sick from eating out and will not dine if rating is under 92. And we will not return unless rating is 94 or above. To find an affordable Mexican restaurant serving great food with high ratings is a place worth trying. We have and will continue to eat at Charanda in Sunvalley across from movies as long as they keep serving good hot food with high food safety ratings.

The food and service were great. Went on a Thursday evening and it wasn't busy at all. The restrooms were big, but could use updating or arranged differently. The only issue I have is the price. My bill after tip for 1 adult and 1 child was $55. Definitely overpriced for a mediocre restaurant.

The food seems to be frozen and this applies to absolutely everything that lies on the plate.Burito is cold and after the taste - refrigerator, as if it was completely prepared a week ago, it is not fresh vegetables and chicken. The rice is also frozen.Service. The girl forgot about us, we couldn’t ask for napkins - she never approached us, unfortunately.Atmosphere. Four children run around the restaurant like crazy, very loudly.
