Great mom and pop country diner. The biscuits are amazing- made the "old timey way- buttermilk and lard" is reason enough for the 5 stars. Ample portions, bacon made to order (crispy or wiggly!), coffee refilled promptly. Pretty sure there was only one waitress in a full dining room and service was still great. Unassuming, no frills atmosphere, but the food was delicious.

Fast service, helpful friendly staff. A bit too crowded but that's because it's good.

Good food. ONLY CASH!!!!! They do have an ATM, so no problem if you don't have it. I went to try the fried cornbread. I won't have it again, no flavor, dense on the inside. Needs morn corn meal and seasoning. Hushpuppies were delicious along with fish & shrimp. We'll be back. It was all very good!

Surprisingly delicate omelet. I had the western, which was stuffed full of ham, onion, green pepper and cheese. That and the link sausage were delicious. I took 1 star off because the butter is "spread", cream is non dairy and homefries are premade deep fried. Servers hustle and even though it was busy, the food came out fast.

If you enjoy a good old fashioned down home breakfast. Then this is the place to visit. The majority of the tables are private but there is one section that is communal. Me and my wife enjoyed talking to a delightful couple as we dined. The prices are reasonable and the portions are nice. Anytime we visit from New Jersey. We make it a point to stop by. You should do the same.

The food and service were excellent. We did have to add a little salt to our food which we hardly ever do but that other than that it was nicely seasoned. The only suggestion I have is maybe not to use that plastic spread on the tables for the toast and such and maybe upgrade to butter

Always a great meal and a wonderful local dining experience. The great name has always made me smile as well. My husband and I enjoy going here for breakfast after church on Sunday and he often goes with buddies for breakfast, schedules permitting.Parking can get a little crazy on the weekends, but it’s absolutely worth navigating it.
