I grew up on this placeI currently live in the Raleigh area and have been known to drive ALL THE WAY BACK TO J'VILLE just for their unbelievable hush puppies. This place is an institution in Jacksonville and it's absolutely wonderful. I may have to take another trip back home....real soon!
The BEST fried goodies on Earth!I was stationed at MCAS New River from 1989 to 1993. The Ark was my favorite place to eat. The flounder plate was killer with the BEST hush puppies I have ever had. I am so glad they are still im business. May they be there another 100 years. If anyone who works there could give me the hush puppy recipe I would be in your debt. Found the ark in 1977. Yes they can get busy,but they are nice and the food is as good now as it was then . There are a lot of new restaurants here now. But I'll always get back to the Ark sooner or later.
