I really want to like this place. If you're on a budget and hungry this place is cheap with decent food. The building itself is old and the parking lot isn't the best. Gravel parking with potholes for days. The interior is old like the exterior. It has a charm to it and it's pretty clean but it's in desperate need of a face lift. For all you Islanders craving spam and eggs, they serve it here lol! They also serve spam loco moco on Tuesdays. I had the patty melt and I would not recommend it. It was edible and alright but it tasted like something I could whip up at home with frozen patties and American cheese. The kids meal was a pretty big portion for the prize. I would come back and give it another shot and maybe try their fried rice since it says it's a must try on the menu. However, for this first go around the only thing I loved was the price of the food.

Came here with my Boyfriend, amazing, fast service, nice staff, cute place, the food was great! Only thing that It was a bit hot inside. But other than that it was awesome! Highly recommend!! :)

Best prices!!! Best French toast!! Best service!! I love this atmosphere so much. You get the locals feel with the older gentlemen who hang around. You also get the feeling that it's not a typical locals spot because the service is AMAZING. Most local spots you fill your own coffee along with everyone you pass with the pot. Here it's full service. Seat yourself where's there's space and relax. ORDER the French toast! I also order the home fries NOT fried but grilled with onions. Aka they're fresh so you can actually ask for that! Love this place so so much

Walked in, smelled terrible, sat down & looked at menus in the rack filthy dirty, got up, walked out.
They need to give lessons to some of these other places....Started with calling in my order .The man was so nice and when I went to get my food food was ready hot and was so good eating as I do this review.Great job all around.

Good food great price, great service. If u love the vibe of a ma n pop restaurant ya need to try this place. We sat at a lil two seater but it didn't bother us. Cant complain for the quality and price and the friendly staff.

Staff is friendly, but that seems to be the only good thing going for this place to My Scrambled Eggs needed some butter to help them with flavor, they were bland. Asked for crispy Bacon, although it was crispy it tasted like fried chicken not bacon, they obviously deep fried it. Sourdough toast was half toasted and definitely did not have real butter on it. The home fries were large chunks and obviously cooked separately from the onions because they were in need of seasoning. My Wife was unimpressed with her Omelette, her puppy got the rest of it for a snack. It Needs a good cleaning! Smells like a grease trap in here instead of Food Being cooked. It's a bit dark in here needs to be brightened up. Do yourself a favor and go a block over to the Kettle, the Food is much better and it's cleaner and Brighter there.

The place could definitely use a deep cleaning (doors & tables [by the feet area], walls, windowsills, washrooms, etc). While the atmosphere is nice, the place can use a bit more of a fix up, or a new coat of paint on the wood. High chairs available. No baby changing table inside washrooms [reason: 1 person washroom each].The food & prices were GREAT, & the service was FAST! The place had great 80's - 90's music, & festive decorations! Staff was very friendly. The wall decorations are very cute!

Central Cafe serves excellent meals and has a huge variety of items to pick from. The food is always warm and delicious. The waitress is attentive and keeps your cup full.
