I wouldn’t patronize the business or rent from this slum Lord! Owner and staff are rude and fly at the mouth! Barbershop has plumbing that doesn’t work properly and sewage(which smells horrendous)that backs back up on the floor into the buildings which are connected. I ADVISE NOT ONE BARBER, COSMETOLOGIST OR ESTHETICIAN TO RENT ANY SPACE FROM HIM! Legally he is a CROOK!

They were at National Night Out and I chose them because they were black owned and Veteran owned. Let me say I'm sorry I did! The lady taking orders was very rude and had a very snappy attitude. The man handing out the food was equally rude and acted as if our having placed an order was a BIG inconvenience to him. We waited forever for the food which was disgusting. The pork chops had no seasoning whatsoever and way overcooked. We also noticed that the potato salad they were serving was the Sam's Club Members Mark potato salad not even their own. If you're looking for some good soul food trust me DON'T look here you will regret overpaying for nasty food, and nasty attitudes. I'll still be supportive of other small business as long as I get good customer service and the product is good.

owners are very rude, food has no flavor whatsoever, and they were passing off Sam's Club Members Mark potato salad as their own. I would not recommend wasting your time and money here, you're welcome??

I tried them twice, disappointed both times.

PawPaws brought out his food truck to Humphrey Farm for a festival. I kept walking by and reading his menu and could not resist. I ordered fried pork chops, Mac n cheese and collards. My granddaughter got wings, Mac and green beans. OMG it was AH-Mazing!!! Seasoned to perfection. My mama is a collard-cooking queen and their collards matched hers. I highly recommend PawPaws. You will not be disappointed if you love homestyle country food.

Ordered the shrimp dinner because I had no idea if 3 (jumbo) wings would suffice. Asked for green beans. Nope got collard greens. Tasted like the basic bitter greens you get at a restaurant. The Mac and cheese really had no flavor, but I ate it because I was hungry and It wasn't terrible. The ribs had no taste and were very tough. For me, a basic waste of money. I'm glad I didn't pay for delivery

I love the wings here! My kids always ask for the catfish. The sides are where they lost a star, but it's still a great place to grab food.

Drove from Raleigh to meet a friend and came across this restaurant. It would have been nice to have an updated list of hours before coming to see that they weren’t open today. Maybe this will help someone else who is wanting to try out this place.

I really wish this place was open more often. Was craving their food today-but sadly its Monday so.It's really good here. The food is delicious-and it definitely makes me feel at home.

The food looked good but it had no flavor. The taste I was looking for when I think of soul food was not there. It seems the sides were from a can with no added seasoning to give it flavor. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't good either.

I'm not from this area, and I happen to find this place. I was looking for good wings, but my boyfriend and I ended up finding a new love for this joint. I got the oxtail and rice, talk about amazing yall. ??. Tender, full of flavor, and just all around very good. 5 stars to the son and his 80-year-old mama for running this place!!

owner has a very nasty attitude. the food isnt even good enough to make you wanna come back after the rudeness you’re met with when you pick up your food.

Best food in Jacksonville! They have the best greens, yams, and steak over rice!

I have passed this soul food sign everyday since I moved on this side of town and have been curious. I finally stopped in right before the holiday and OMG it is real Homestyle soul food cooking. Very obvious that everything is made fresh and from scratch, nothing canned! Great customer service, and the owner is very friendly and down to earth. We had smothered pork chops over rice, collards, mac n cheese…. Fried wings… and chitterlings!! All was on point!
