This place is spectacular. The 1st day we went we fell in love with them. So of course we went back that night and the next day and also had the most fabulous Easter lunch with them. We could not thank them enough for such a wonder time and amazing food!

Baybay ?? Food is on point!!! Walking in and seeing all my melanin sisters and brothers cooking and working made my heart smile! I come from Atlanta where soul food is very popular AND good. I’m glad to have found a place like back home. I’ve had their whole chicken wings, legs and thighs, smothered chicken, turkey wings, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and roast. Everything I’ve had has been delicious! Their customer service is always good too! The only thing I have to complain about are the hours. They are closed 3 days out of the week and they close at 2pm on the days they’re open. The food is so good, I need them open everyday!!!

This is THE BEST brunch place I have found in NC. So good!! Sweet potato bread and muffins were moist and delicious, shrimp and grits was perfect, pancakes are seriously great. Nothing we tried wasn't good. Will be going back as often as possible.

Shrimp & Cheesy Grits are delicious! Got a side of kielbasa as well with intention of cutting it up and putting it in the grits - however the grits are loaded with toppings already! They did not mess around with the shrimp, cheese, bacon, and green onions. That's what I like to see!! Super tasty. Definitely a beloved brunch spot for many people as is evident by how busy they were. Didn't mind at all, the vibe was immaculate. Finally found some authentic southern comfort food. Will definitely be bringing our friends here when they visit.

What a great place to eat in Jacksonville. Probably the best food in town. With so many chain restaurants, this place is a gem. My wife got the fried catfish and it was fried and seasoned to perfection. I got the 3 wings and they were fried and seasoned perfectly as well. The collards, Mac and cheese and corn bread were amazing. They also serve great Kool-Aid. My daughter really enjoyed the grilled cheese and wedges. If you are looking for great food and service then this is the place for you!Kid-friendliness: Good kids options. Daughter loved the grilled cheese and wedges. Most places just throw a grilled cheese together but they put care into it. It even had a great cheese pull.

I order the wing combo and the tenders combo that came with two sides and two drinks for $32.00 we got the kool aide which was amazing they should sell that by the gallon.. The Candi yams where amazing the Mac and cheese collard greens okra where not what I was expecting I guess I am not the target audience for those items the chicken tenders where dry and blain as well I am a strong believer in trying everything twice so I may at some point try them again when they have some of there specials available but for me as of today I am not the audience that they are looking for.

I enjoyed the visit and will return, I gave 4 stars on the food because the shrimp and grits was salty. I didn't think I was going to be able to eat it, but after stirring it a bit I could tolerate the salt. It could have been the bacon, I find bacon really salty lately. Again, I will return because there are other items on the menu I would like to try, the service, location, and restaurant was great.
