The Marines of Camp Lejeune consume on average about 14 lbs of toenails on a yearly basis. If Taco Best did no exist, this number would be reduced to about 10 lbs. Take this to mean what you will.

Just a heads up for all active duty. This place was put on the blacklist as of October 2017. Don't know why but just letting you know.

Idk what these people giving negative reviews are for. This is bomb food. It's not expensive and you get a good amount of food. The 8 dollar burrito is massive and it's delicious. Just try it yourself. You won't be disappointed

This is the absolute worst food I've ever had in my entire life. Honestly, I feel embarrassed for you, that you would feel it's acceptable as a food establishment to serve your customers your food. I should have known that this was going to be a horrible experience based on the customer services while placing the order. My co-workers and I ordered three different meals the chicken and steak was so overcooked that you couldn't even bite through it. Your chicken enchiladas are actually chicken tacos served on nam bread covered in canned nacho cheese that you would get at a baseball game.

We ordered Taco Best for lunch today at our office and it is absolutely terrible. I can't emphasize how nauseating it is. The meat smells rotten and the nachos came with a chance of cheese in a container... the rice has no flavor and is mushy.

It's been the second time I order from here and their guacamole is terrible, it's as if they used the cheapest ingredients, it's very watered down and very little flavor, their "Mexican rice" needs some work as well, this place is what people would consider "fake Mexican food"

Everything was so good. They delivered fast to us when very far away. And polite on phone and great driver

Not too bad. Nice people. Could be worse. I'll order again most likely.

This was the worst food I've ever ordered, wouldn't feed this garbage to my dog! Also, we got the wrong amount of change back and when we called to let them know the manager was extremely rude and condescending, worst service ive ever seen from a restaurant

I would not recommend this place to anybody, it takes an hour for delivery and when I just ordered when my food out here when I was unwrapping it they had left out the meat from the three tacos that I ordered, I called them back and they promised me a free 20 ounce soda and said that they would have the meat for me and bring it within 15 to 30 minutes. I asked for fresh food but they said no. 45 minutes later my fresh meat for my tacos finally arrived and no soda. I called them back and they told me that the boss changed his mind about giving me a free soda. I asked to speak to the boss and they told me the boss was the one that deliver the food. Sounds very fishy to me because why would the delivery driver be the one in charge. They lied to me about giving me a free soda.Theyforgot the meat in my tacos it took 45 minutes to replace it. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

I ordered Taco Best once, and it will be my last. They put way, way to many beans on everything and it masks the flavor of everything else. I had the nachos and it was the cheapest, most bland meal I think I've ever had. My husband had the steak burrito and it was packed full of rice, beans, and cold meat. I definitely got what I paid for and would not recommend to anyone.

I am never a fan of Tex-Mex food ... it is Mexican food watered down for gringos. Sorry to be blunt, but it's the truth. With that said, however, I have still tried some throughout the country as we are frequent travelers because of being on Active Duty. Tex-Mex places like El Pollo Loco, in California make good food with a good unique flavor. My wife and I wanted to try this place to see what it's like. It was, by far, one of the most disappointing lunch dates we had. The tortilla bowl salad was very generic with nothing unique about it. I could've bought a salad in a bag at WalMart for $2.99, this salad was not worth $7. I had the steak and guacamole combination plate and it was horrendous. Immediately opening the plate I saw the steak was VERY dry; the beans were also dry and the rice was discolored with a cheap attempt to make it look like spanish rice. The steak tasted like 2 day old meat that was microwaved. Even the guacamole wasn't green, it was a shade of green and gray (yuck!). Even the salsa they gave me was horrible and extremely watery with no flavor whatsoever. My wife knows me as someone that eats all my food, very seldom do I leave anything. When she saw the amount of food I left, she knew it was not a good lunch. They make chinese food and hibachi; they might make those foods well, but they certainly should get out of the Tex-Mex food side. A little seasoning, maybe just salt and pepper on the steak, would've taken their food in a whole other direction. For a total of $16 (that's including one drink we shared) I could've had a better lunch at a fast food place. I won't be returning at all, and unless you're looking for chinese food, I'd stay away from here as well.

Most of the reviews in here look like out of towners. Let's clear s few things up. Firsrt Add 45 mins atleast to your order, more if you live on base. They have a ton people on base ordering stuff, so yea that takes time. Again, if you spent more then a week in Jacksonville you would probably know this. Second, I never had an issue making an order, but then again I'm not fumbling through the menu, asking for stupid special privileges ("call me when you arrive, we are out back and I'm too stuck up to keep an ear out for my food").. Not like you're entertaining something, let's be real you're ordering Mexican food delivery.. This place has been a while, and a good portion of the warriors in Camp Lejeune are fueled by their food. It's not the best, but it's Mexican delivery and as long as you don't be risky on the menu, it's not bad at all.

Horrible horrible restaurant service. Ordered for delivery and asked that they call for the front door as we were in the back relaxing. The order was an hour late. I called three times to get an ETA with false times given for each call. When order was finally delivered, the person just hung it on my door. Didn't bother notifying us. I had to call to the restaurant, who had to call the driver, to find out that they just left it on the door. God knows how long its been sitting there getting cold. When I finally checked the order it was completely cold and missing my drink. Called for a refund and they said to hang it back on the door and they had to pick it up for the refund to be issued. Understandable.... so I hung it on the door and left the door open to make sure they pick it up. It was two hours before they picked it up. So from me ordering to them picking it up took about 4 hour to get that food. God bless the person who has to eat that Mexican steak and rice with sourcream. I have everything recorded thanks to a nifty app. so I will be back to edit with some audio of the calls.
