We used thyme2cater for my fathers celebration of life 3 years ago, it was fabulous. For my sons wedding, the tasting was amazing! However, the food at my sons wedding was very disappointing. Mashed potato bar, instant potatoes not prepped properly. Toppings 4ft from the potatoes, you didn’t understand what they were for. Pulled pork sliders, not assembled, instead dry pulled pork, no sauce available, no slaw, slider rolls, stale. Mac and cheese was gritty and spots of green. Other rolls were hot dog buns cut in half. They committed to water and tea. They were asked to not bring citrus for the water due to an allergy. They brought lemonade. Watered down at that. They brought food to the grooms room, veggie tray and a charcuterie board, at 9 am when the groom/Groomsmen weren’t to arrive till 3 pm. No ice or form of keeping it cold and fresh with a bottle of opened ranch. It sat there all day long.Veggies trays for guests, were out all day, wilted and dry and not edible.Completely disappointed. There was McDonald’s run during the reception!

Despite the poor reviews, we attended a wedding that they previously catered and thought they did a great job. Our tasting was lovely and we really enjoyed the food. However, we were highly disappointed on our wedding day. My husband and I chose to do a taco bar with 3 meats, rice and refried beans. As we went through to make our own plates, we noticed that they were serving regular beans and none of the tortillas had been warmed. Additionally, our cocktail hour was suppose to include chips, queso, salsa and guacamole. When we arrived at our cocktail hour, we found that queso was the only thing being served and the chips quickly ran out without being replenished. Lastly, we requested twice that a small plate be set aside in a to go box for us to leave with after the reception only to find out the only thing that they boxed up was the beans that were incorrect in the first place. Not to mention, we just returned from our honeymoon only to find out from our guests that 25% of our guest DIDNT GET MEAT FOR THEIR TACOS. Only sides. This company is out of their minds if they think 3 small trays of meat will feed 115 guests plus vendors. We are absolutely embarrassed to have even used them for our big day. What an utter disappointment!! Everything was so clearly laid out on our contract and confirmed multiple times before our big day. We were so excited about our meal and left feeling so upset that we didn’t get exactly what we asked for and agreed on in our contract.

everyone who worked my wedding rehearsal and reception dinners was very nice. Unfortunately the professionalism was lacking and the food at my wedding reception was cold and unseasoned. It was definitely not worth the thousands of dollars I paid. We were all pretty disappointed.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.I had my wedding last weekend and this company was supposed to cater and bartend. Well, first they showed up 2 hours late. We had agreed on them showing up between 1-2 pm and they showed up at 3, 30 mins before my wedding started. Then we were supposed to have a hot chocolate and apple cider bar (that we paid for) and they only brought hot chocolate. In our contract they were supposed to provide coffee pumps and did not bring them. Instead we had to resort to using the venues (thank goodness they had some). They refused to set up the hot chocolate bar that we paid for them to do, they handed the hot chocolate to my coordinator and made her do it. Second the menu we had agreed on was wrong. We were supposed to have chicken as one of our entrees and they did not bring any, only steak. This resulted in the venue coordinator running to foodlion to go get some so they wouldn’t run out of food for the guests. The sides we ate were not of the quality that we had at the tasting. Seemed like they went to Walmart and got frozen sides and made them right before. Third, we paid for there to be desserts and they only brought one of the three we paid for. Then they put the one dessert they brought out with the appetizers so it was gone before it could be put on the dessert table. This resulted in the venue coordinator going to foodlion to get desserts so something could be put on the table. Fourth, the bartender refused to put the beer on ice so it was warm while being served. My coordinator had to tell him multiple times to put it on ice and he finally did so right before cocktail hour.I made multiple signs for the menus to be placed with the food and we were only able to use one because everything was wrong. They only send 2 employees for a 125 people wedding. Over all the professionalism of this company is subpar at best. We have pictures of everything and receipts from when the coordinator had to pay out of pocket to fix their mistake. Before the wedding, their office manager was emailing me back very fast to confirm the menu, set up times, and to make sure they had all of the information correct. Now they will not email me back and I have only heard from them once regarding the issue. I was trying to talk directly to the owner and the office manager was the only one to respond to me. She said “she is trying to resolve the issue”… there is nothing to resolve the wedding already happened. We just want our money back. Paid way too much for this TERRIBLE service. Save yourself the time and DO NOT book this catering company.

Please do not hire this catering company. I was the maid of honor in a wedding that was catered by this company. Their services went so poorly we had to hide it from the bride in order to not sour her special day. Here’s a list of everything that went wrong-1. They showed up 2 hours late.2. They only showed up with 2 employees, one bartender and one to work the buffet. (I can’t remember the number that we’re supposed to be working but it was close to 10)3. They set out the appetizers on a table before the ceremony when they were supposed to be passed around during cocktail hour, so there were practically none left for cocktail hour.4. They were supposed to bring 3 deserts (cheesecake bites, brownie bites, and some fruit tart) and they only showed up with the cheesecake bites.5. They put said cheesecake bites on the appetizer table, so they were all gone before the ceremony even started.6. It was planned for us to have both steak and chicken, they only brought steak.7. They didn’t even bring utensils. They brought steak, with no knives.8. All of the beer was warm.9. There was a cake (from a separate bakery) that was only for the bride, groom, and bridal party. The slices of the cake were passed out as we started dancing. One of the two employees began to take up the plates with the cake slices and threw them away before we even got the chance to eat the cake.10. They sent us into a frenzy trying to cover up their mistakes. We had to serve food lion chicken tenders for people who didn’t eat steak. We had to serve food lion bakery items at a wedding.

I've been in catering for years, and I have not met a more disorganized company, I had my wedding in August, 2022 the menu that we wanted and ordered for our big day was not followed, the food that was served was under cooked and unappealing to most of our guest. The owner was not responsive when we were trying to solve the issue. I would not recommend this catering company to anywhere

This venue and caterer was exactly what we needed for our baby shower. Our guests loved the food. The staff was helpful and had everything ready in a timely manner. I will use them again in the future.

We were contacted about our contract. They stated it was lost and we did not pay a deposit to hold our date. They attempted to get money from me instantly. Once I provided proof our contract and payment they started making excuses for it being lost. A few weeks later we were notified by our venue they had been removed from their preferred list. The reason was lack of communication and concerns of service. After careful consideration, we chose to cancel with them. We have requested a full refund of our money due to the concern of not providing us professional service and the poor customer service we have experienced to this point. We cancelled well over a year from the date we had reserved. Several emails have been exchanged with the last one stating for us to give the owner time and he would be contacting us. It has now been over 2 months and we are still waiting on a return contact phone call and our refund.

If you want the short version to this review, then here it is, I cannot recommend this caterer for your event. If you are interested in the longer version of what our issues were then keep reading We used Thyme 2 Cater for the rehearsal dinner (I will let the parents of the groom share their issues about their event) and we used them for our daughter's wedding which was the next day. I will say that early on in the process that things started well when searching for a caterer, Andrew (owner) and Chef Drew were very nice and accommodating. This was to be a brunch style wedding reception and the taste testing went well. So leading up to the event everything seemed to be in order. However, at the reception the best thing I can say is that they did show up and they did have food. We didn't have as many guests (at least 10 that didn't attend) come to the reception as we had originally thought so we figured that there would be plenty of food. Unfortunately, they did run out of food way earlier then expected and the tables at the end of the line had very little food to choose from Thankfully, we had also brought in Duck Donuts and Local Roots to provide donuts and specialty coffees for our guests. They did a great job and if it hadn't been for them it would have been a disaster for our guests. Unfortunately, we didn't have Chef Drew at the event which was what we had been led to believe and they only brought 2 people besides the fill-in chef. Although the fill-in Chef was very nice, due to the lack of help, no one kept an eye on the buffet or the drink station and I am embarrassed to say that a lot of our guests went without at the reception. Besides that, the food at the reception was lukewarm at best. One of the signature items from the taste testing that everyone loved was a french toast casserole. Unfortunately, what was an excellent item at the testing was not anything close to what was presented at the taste testing and was uneatable by many at the reception. The reception hall manager was so upset about the lack of oversight of the event by Thyme 2 Cater that she jumped in to try and help the caterer which was not her job. The father of the groom and I did meet with Andrew, the owner, after repeated attempts to get him to talk to us about both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception. In the end, an acceptable resolution was not made. I would caution anyone trying to do business with this caterer. It appears from other reviews that this is a systemic problem for Thyme 2 Cater.

This company is one of the most disorganized, dishonest, and untalented companies I’ve ever used. They recently catered a wedding event for us. They hosted the rehearsal dinner at their event venue space the night before the wedding. The space it self is okay (nothing special) but when we arrived we found that it had no A/C. As soon as you walked in you were hit with a burst of hot air. The owner believed he had a cheap fix to providing A/C by using a window unit air conditioner wedged in the door that guest tripped over countless times. This of course did not fix the solution and I was sweating the entire time in the miserably hot venue. The food that night was okay but they also catered the actual wedding the next morning. When they arrived with the food then, not only was it cold, but it was under cooked. This was a morning wedding and they supplied french toast casserole. If you can call it that, it was basically wet eggs on cold toast. The rest of the breakfast was mediocre but mostly cold and they ran out of food very fast. I checked the recent reviews and it appears this company is going down hill fast. They not only have issues with the food but they also a huge lack of organization and honesty. After all concerns were brought to the owner he did not seem to care and refused to make it right. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We used Thyme2Cater for my son’s wedding at the end of July. (The bride’s father also posted a review- major issues) The tasting was delicious and everything seemed on the up and up so we decided to also use them for the rehearsal dinner. We rented their event space as well. Getting in touch with them is a nightmare. About a month before the event their air went out. We were assured that either it would be fixed or they would secure multiple portable units. The day prior, I visited the event space and learned the air would not be fixed in time. I had foreseen this as a possibility and had secured an alternate venue where Thyme2Cater could bring the food. I was again assured that the portable units would arrive that day and they would be turned on early the next morning in time to cool the space for our dinner. When we arrived Friday evening at 6:00 we were hit with a wall of heat. There was one unit right at the front door being vented out of that same door and was totally useless. It was absolutely miserable and I could have had the event at my alternate venue but believed them when they said they could pull this off. We felt it would be fair to have the venue portion of our money returned. After weeks and multiple attempts to get in touch with Andrew, my husband and the bride’s father met with him and Andrew led them to believe he would refund them both a set amount of money. Again, Andrew went dark and never followed through with this. We did not receive any money back and after additional attempts to get in touch with him, he threatened to contact his attorney. Unbelievable!!Andrew is at the least unprofessional and the worst a total scam artist. DO NOT use this company.

This catering organization is terribly run, The rehearsal dinner and wedding we’re both executed poorly by Thyme2Cater. On the night of our rehearsal dinner I had to change in the car because of the sheer levels heat in there facility and there lackluster attempts to fix it.The food was lukewarm on rehearsal night and the wedding and I just felt overall it was quite a mediocre experience for such a special occasion. It was also about as organized as a u5 soccer game. Would not recommend.

Absolutely horrible. Had an event in July for a rehearsal dinner for my brother and sister-in-law and the event space was so hot it was difficult to breathe. Communication was horrible and we were promised it would be cool but it most definitely was not. Food was not good. Also used them for their wedding and the food was extremely undercooked and cold. Owner is a liar. It’s time to either shut it down or get a whole new owner and staff.
