I loved the bacon Mac and jap burger. My kids really like the popcorn shrimp as well. I'd stop here another time if I'm ever in OBX again

I posted my review on X because I honestly loved the food and atmosphere here. Everything is fried, but I think that one day a year, it doesn't hurt and I'm not going to deny myself the experience. As an appetizer I recommend the CAJUN FRIED CHEESE CURDS served with jamaican jerk aioli, it is a dish that I did not know and that my new friends invited me to try. The truth is that they were delicious, to be honest, I would have eaten the entire basket by myself. Another interesting starter is the fried pickles with ranch sauce. My friend can't eat beef, so her favorite is a chicken fillet burger that I was able to try and it is phenomenal. My selection was the FRIED OYSTERSlightly golden fried with spicy remoulade and lemon (fried oysters) more out of curiosity than anything else. They didn't disappoint me, I was already into eating everything fried. But if you don't want that much fat in a single day, there are also raw, baked and grilled oysters on the menu. Another thing I loved is that you can choose not just one, but two sides of hand-cut fries or mashed potatoes (dinner only). Another option is coleslaw (to appease the conscience). I chose the fries and macaroni and cheese to complete the American experience. The service is fast and very friendly. The prices are reasonable. Something I liked is that I ordered my drink half with sugar and half without sugar and that's how they brought it to me. I'm still not used to zero sugar, but that's where I'm at.Observation: I wanted to take my family on a Sunday at 7:45 at night but it was closed. Google says they close at 9 so this really surprised me.

Outstanding burgers and service, but we found the other food we had to be a bit bland. If you're in the mood for a burger however I highly recommend you check this place out!

We love this place! Best fried pickles we have ever had. They use the long sandwich slices. You can definitely tell they are hand breaded. Everything we have tried has been beyond expectations.

We were down here for vacation and considering what's closed in the off-season, this was close and well... open. Although considering the options were few, they did quite well with the food and service. Walking in, it's a great feel with the servers and staff being very friendly. I admired feeling welcomed considering many of these small local places can sometimes make you feel like you're violating their territory upon entry. Our waitress was super friendly. I liked how patient she was with us and how she took time to help answer any questions we had. The food was very delicious. So much so that I almost went back during our short weekend visit. To be fair I was craving it. :) Just didn't have the cycles to go due to other commitments. Overall - I would definitely come back next time we're in town. We frequent the OBX area so we have eaten at a lot of places. This is one of the places that's a regular for us. The specials change often and the normal food items are excellent. Great place for a burger and a beer and the kids menu is good too.

Easy to find and plenty of parking. We were greeted fast and seated quickly. Jackie was our waitress, and she was awesome. I had one of their special burgers. It was a burger with cheddar, bacon, sausage, and BBQ. It was delicious. The cheese curds and fries were really good, too. I highly recommend this place for some good food and cold beer.
