The hash brown patties were overcooked and extremely greasy. The smoked sausage was so overcooked it was crunchy, even the biscuits were burnt. The veggies in the omelette were huge chunks. The food was barely lukewarm when it was served. The over easy eggs were perfect and were hot. They were the only thing that was warm.The server was great. Attentive and friendly

Everything about Smith's is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. The spare ribs are fall off the bone tender, and the shrimp is the best around. The other food is yummy as well. All the employees are sweet and treat you with that good ol southern hospitality.

Tried to doordash this place twice each time the order was canceled because an item was "unavailable" called the restaurant to ask about this, the worker said she didn't have anything to do with doordash, no biggie, but what I couldn't look past is how rude she was about this raising her voice and such, no worries after that I wouldn't give this place a bent penny -1 customer

A fantastic local joint serving amazing breakfast menu items. I'm told lunch/dinner is equally amazing, and people rave about the tenderloin and gravy! The staff was very personable and friendly. I had a JC Biscuit, a combination of eggs, bacon, and sausage, which was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this Mom&Pop's to anyone traveling through Kinston.
