Frequent this location at least once a week, this evening we ventured there to get some food. We arrived around 6pm and place look busy so we thought yes....the food will be hot and fresh...wrong..ordered a BBQ chicken plate with beans and fries...what fries like ten strings...beans were cold and chicken was over cooked and tougher than beef jerky...no worries just drown it in bbq sauce and they will never know the difference. Also hush puppies were like powder and just feel apart when grabbing them. I know good help is hard to find, however the cook or cooks definitely have no passion for food. Really disappointed.Update...management was super responsive and quick to resolve. I will update my review on my next visit. Thank you again for caring about your customers.

Chicken is fried well but seems to be lacking in seasoning.

I did online order pick up and this was absolutely the worst food ever eaten at this location! Every single thing was cold! I had to Reheat my food when I got home The amount of food you get for $20.00 a plate is absurd! What a waste of $50.00!

Clean, chocolate people in the kitchen with seasoning skills. The fried chicken is actually crispy and cooked well. The gumbo/soup is so good... Real chicken being served!!??

What a surprise. Really good vinegary Carolina pig. Good coleslaw. My husband taught me why Hushpuppies should be called hushhubbies! He loved them! Good place. We will be back! Maybe a bit too much ice in the sodas, but it would be the perfect amount for iced tea which melts ice nortoriously fast.Dietary restrictions: Hushpuppies are not for the gluten sensitive.

Overall Rating: 4.7/10This establishment boasts a fresh and newly renovated appearance, offering a mix of satisfactory and disappointing dining experiences. While the ambiance is inviting, the food's quality varies significantly from dish to dish.Atmosphere: 7.1/10The clean, unique, and appealing renovation contributes positively to the atmosphere. Wall art and a thoughtful layout enhance the dining experience, making it visually engaging and fresh.Service: 6.7/10Service at the front is pleasant, with staff showing genuine care and engagement. The ordering process is straightforward, although the menu's breadth could be overwhelming for some. The staff's attentiveness and respectful demeanor underscore a commitment to customer satisfaction.Food:BBQ Sandwich Pulled Pork: 2.1/10The pulled pork's lackluster appearance and dull color detract from its appeal, even though the concept of pairing it with coleslaw is well-intentioned.Pulled Pork Plate: 3.3/10While the taste of the pork was acceptable, the presence of bones and cartilage necessitated caution with every bite, diminishing the overall enjoyment. The absence of BBQ sauce in the takeout bag was a notable oversight.Coleslaw: 4.1/10The coleslaw was average in taste, suffering only from a visual standpoint that didn't invite anticipation.Baked Beans: 4.4/10An utterly average side dish, reminiscent of standard canned baked beans, lacking the homemade quality that could elevate the dish.Chicken Wings: 6.1/10A highlight of the meal, these wings were well-cooked, crispy, and notably better than average, distinguished by their crispness.Value: 5.1/10At $45 for three meals, the value proposition is a mixed bag. The chicken wings seem to justify their portion of the cost, while the pulled pork dishes fall short, reflecting a hit-or-miss experience.

Smithfield's is a regional chain that is consistently good. Serving fried chicken, Carolina style pulled pork BBQ and all the classic traditional Carolina BBQ fixins. The pulled pork is North Carolina style with a vinegar based sauce it's consistently moist with a little bit of a bite to it. The chicken is always crispy, not to greasy and not try. Their bbq beans are excellent. It has some of the pulled pork for a depth of flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. The coleslaw is one of the better restaurant made slaws off had. The hush puppies a flavorful with a bit of sweet and not dryer out. You can buy everything ala carte or in combinations of various sizes. The staff is friendly and the service is counter style with seating, if you want to eat there. They also typically have a drive thru.

If you can’t get to Parker’s,Wilber’s or B’s , this will pass as bbq. All ways good and for the price can’t beat it. I don’t fry chicken at home (creates an environmentally bad clean up) I go to SCB to eat fried chicken.

Staff are friendly and food are good. If you have a party or lot of people, try their Tailgate party package. You get Fried chicken, BBQ pork, Huspuppies, two sides and a gallon of ice tea.

This is a pretty bland option for barbecue but it's very consistent. I've been to many locations and they are consistently the same because obviously this is mass produce.I would not consider this true Carolina Barbecue because it's not truly smoked on scene. I don't even think it's smoked at all. Carolina Barbecue for me needs to be smoked, cooked fresh, and contain a lot of passion. In the case of Smithfield's it's more like fast food and you get pretty much that quality.I gave three stars mostly because again it is very consistent. The service is pretty fast in the atmosphere is very good. I took two stars away mostly because the barbecue is mass produced and because of that the quality of the food is not what it could be if it actually was smoked.
