Just happened upon this joint and I'm glad I did. My wife had the oyster stew and she loved it. It was made the same way she learned to make it as a little girl. Oysters butter milk.....a thin soup. We also had the Gator bites....delicious...I had the fried chicken lunch special. I am a fried chicken snob.....I thought it needed salt and seasoning but was still decent. This place isn't designed for fine dining. The house is historical, and has only updated on a minimal basis. Everything is dated, except for the food, and their porch. It looks as though everything needs a deep cleaning, and overhaul. I've had only seafood here, with accompanying sides. The oysters pop in your mouth, some of the best anywhere. I have never had better seafood anywhere! Service is excellent with short wait time depending on time of day. We went at lunchtime but only had less than five minutes wait. Well worth it!!
