This is exactly as listed. A burger place with a nice selection bottled sodas, crispy fries, tasty hot dogs in a homey environment. If you require table service, look elsewhere, but if not the balance of service is friendly and as fast as possible. That said, be prepared for a 30-45 minute wait for your food during busy hours, as the line can be long. That said, the burgers are excellent and the rest of the food is good too. It was worth a trip from Durham, but having been, we won't likely make the trip again.

Nick's has been a favorite of mine for years. The food is always great. Fresh ingredients and the service is good. Everything is cooked to order, so expect a short wait while your food is prepared

Heard Nick's Old Fashioned Hamburgers was rated #1 in North Carolina by Yelp. We had to try it since it wasn't too far from us. Wow!! You can't go wrong if you are looking for a TASTY Old Fashioned Hamburger and not a McDonalds, Wendy's, or Burger King burger. The staff were very generous and polite. This is one of the few gems in our area that is must do. If you are looking for high quality and delicious cheeseburger try Nick's. You will not be disappointed. Go visit

We've been told how great this place was but could never get the restaurant. Finally made it out to Nick's and it was not disappointing! Their regular burger with cheese is a standard burger; nothing to call home about. It seems that you need to order a "specialty burger" for it to be more tasty and impressive. If you like burgers with jalapeños, you have to try the Noah Burger! It was interesting and will be ordering it again. Their crinkle fries are very crispy and a great addition to the burgers. Will definitely be going here again soon.

Drove nearly 2 hours to find out it was closed on Saturday before Easter. I checked hours ahead of time and there was no indication that it was closed for the day on their website nor on Google. I could have found a better way to spend 4 hours for an afternoon. Food might be good. But I’m not going try this trip again.
