Although it's kinda hidden inside the old Sears store, this place is a real treat. We usually frequent another Mexican restaurant in town. But, decided to try Melecios for dinner last weekend. The food was delicious. The salsa was authentic; not from a jar. Everything was enjoyable, including our waitress. The only reason I gave Service 3 stars instead of 5 is bc the waitress had a potty mouth. She dropped the F-bomb multiple times while chatting with us. Not cool. Otherwise, this hidden gem is going to become a go-to for Mexican food in the future.

I came in at around 4 when it wasn’t that busy, was on my way back home from a campus tour at unc Pembroke,and man my server had a wonderful attitude, the food tasted super fresh, and had a good texture, everything was immaculate, service was great, the food?

Usually Melecios is a hit, but today I ordered a TO GO order - the House Special substitute Shrimp W. Chicken and the cook today Literally put a bed of onions under my meat, VERY LITTLE of the other vegetables the meal is supposed to come with. So if I do order again I’ll make sure I ask for NO ONIONS. Cause the plate came with majority of all onions. Very unappetizing & Feels like I wasted my money.

Love the original location in Shannon, but the Lumberton spot is a downgrade. Food isn't as good and both times I ate inside it takes a good while to get food. Service is very mediocre. Shannon location was never like this. Prices have also skyrocketed.

Im not sure if this was just a bad day or what. But I came here because of the good reviews. Let me just say I am spanish lol. First off they sat us down and we ordered our drinks and queso dip.Minutes went by no drink. More minutes go by we get the queso dip. I went ahead and asked the server if she had forgotten our drinks and she sighs and apologized. Then goes our 45 minute wait for our food to be brought to us. That's after ordering. The food finally gets here. We ordered no squash or zucchini. They put it in BOTH my dish and my girlfriends dish. Whatever we just eat around it because we weren't waiting another 45 minutes. But the Foods pretty good. The meat Got real spanish flavor to it. Only good thing I have to say which is why it's getting three stars. Service was AWFUL. she also brought me the tortillas and rice and beans halfway through the meal. I didn't even know it had came with it. Probably should've brought it all out at the same time

I visited the bar section and love it! The place was clean, received excellent service and the seafood bowl was fantastic.The DJ played a variety of genre of songs to add to the experience. There's space to dance if you want and this a big plus for me. They even have security! Isn't that wonderful?Thank you Melicios for doing business in Lumberton.Parking: Sufficient parking is available.
