First time stopping in for lunch and just happened to hit the chicken and dumplings special. They were awesome! I had the fried squash and green beans with cornbread and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Everything was wonderful. The menu had a great variety and the staff was so nice. We will definitely be back soon!

Our waiter was excellent; she paid close attention. The size of the giant shrimp, which was significantly less than the typical jumbo size, disappointed me. Shrimp shrink when cooked, but once more, they came out the size of small shrimp. I uploaded a photo that is zoomed in. The young woman bussing tables approached us while we were eating and removed the plates from our table without even asking if we were finished. which my spouse wasn't, but I was. Food was good and since I said I didn't want potatoes or toast the gal offered tomatoes because she didn't want me to pay that much and get less.But then I got charged for the tomatoes so I was sad!But that does not take away from this being an awesome place that will show you how much seniors love going out for breakfast. So great.Have only had breakfast so far but will report back when I have something lunchy.

My waiter was amazing and so was the food! This place is severely underrated and needs to be more famous. It’s literally called the AMERICAN restaurant so you would think there would be more Americans there!
