I haven't eaten in a Captain Dee's this nice since I was a kid in 2010. Most Captain Dee's seem run down now with mediocre service and low quality food. This location was ANYTHING BUT THAT. I was greeted by Latosha who took my order. She was so friendly and sweet for the job she works, I've never had such a wonderful experience at a Captain Dee's with that kind of service. Aside from her beautiful spirit, my food was DELICIOUS. everything was piping hot and super fresh! I had the blackened tilapia with rice, green beans and steamed broccoli. I will only go to this Captain Dee's location and I highly recommend it. Please give Latosha a raise.

Came in late one night,was even there after door was closed,was told no hurry and heard cook tell cashier he would turn fryer back on if customer didn't mind waiting for a few extra minutes, you don't get service like this any where,,if I could I would give this place 10 stars, thank you for your Hospitality!

Please make your kitchen help wear hair nets. I got the seniors calabash shrimp and found a very long hair entangled in my shrimp! Yuck!!! My family calmed me down before i let loose inside your establishment. Please rectify this yucky and nasty problem!

I love this food! Don't under estimate fast seafood. It's hot, crispy, and the fish!!!!! (Eyes roll in the back of our heads) try their Mac and cheese ?So good!!I love the Matthews location! Drinks are pricy. Best to have your own drinks and get it to go. Not recommended for doordash orders, too much steam, makes order soggy.
This Captain D's has really stepped up its game. The bathroom and dining room were very clean. The staff was friendly. Food was good and service was fast. The napkin holders are a little older and show wear but over all the place is clean. Not perfect but clean for a fast food restaurant. I will revisit.

I purchased two 4 pc plates of batter fried fish for $20 and it was delicious. The fish and french fries were crunchy and the Coleslaw was fresh and tasty. Try the spicy fried fish. It’s a knockout. Service was fast and the staff was friendly. This place has the best value for fried fish anywhere in Charlotte. Eat in or take out. Don’t be fooled by the looks of the place. Yes it’s fast food fish, but it blows away any other high priced fish place around. Captain D’s is the boss of fried fish. ?

Once again, my afternoon lunch experience was wonderful! Up front, friendly Latasha was fun to watch as she ably juggled her many tasks, and the crew in back served up some tasty seafood and sides. Add in the clean and light atmosphere and I'm looking forward to my next visit!
