The service was great, fast, attentive and kind staff. I had the special enchiladas verdes. It was fine, but not amazing. I might go back to try some of the regular menu if I'm in the area to see if it's better. Prices were very reasonable.

I always come here and get my queso dip on the side that usually comes in a small container that’s half the size of the $6 one. They have made the mistake previously by not placing it in my bag. When I’ve told them they corrected the issue and gave it to me. Today, it happened again and the waitress said it was on my food. If it’s a dip, why would it be on my food? That doesn’t even make sense. She goes back in, wasting my time, and the man below who claims to be the owner. For $2.99 he was going to hand me what you see below in his hand. The free salsa container is BIGGER than that. I told him that he was playing in my face and I have never had the $2.99 queso in that small of a cup. Taco 4 life queso dip is the same price and the cup is BIGGER. So if this is what $2.99 it getting you, customer are being CHEATED and I told him that. He argued with me and was VERY rude. No one NEEDS to go to this particular Monterrey because if you’re cheating people out of food, it’s no telling what other corners he’s cutting. Be careful eating here and dealing with people like him. He’s unfair, unreasonable, and he’s a liar. Anyone who argues with customer over food they pay for isn’t a good business owner or a good manager. Simply look below at what $2.99 of queso gets you…Go to Taco 4 life or a different location where they know how yo treat people and you don’t have to deal with cheapskate idiots
Be careful ordering drinks. I was trying to save money at a work dinner and got one drink and an $8 bowl of soup. I was shocked when the bill came and my drink was TWENTY dollars. ALWAYS ask here. I’ve never in my life seen a $20 drink much less ordered one by mistake.

Staff lacking in competence. My card was billed for someone else's meal. I ended up paying for someone else's table plus mine when I should have only paid $20. The waiter claimed she believed it had been canceled without offering an apology or anything else. I ultimately It's still not in my account, so I had to get in touch with my bank. Instead, visit La Unica

Really solid food! Fresh chips, flavorful salsa, well seasoned entrees.Service was quite a bit slower than expected, training a new waitress… no worries. Food served very quickly. Portions were generous. Price was fair.
The chips and salsa were brought shortly after I was seated. The chips were warm, and the salsa was spicy but good. I ordered the shrimp and scallop fajita, which came with rice, guacamole salad, and a choice of tortilla (corn or flour). I had the flour tortillas. I added beans. I was pleasantly surprised when the dish came sizzling but wasn't burnt at all. It was so good. The rice was one of the best I've had. The beans were average. I had to try their fried ice cream. It was very good. I would have like honey drizzle, but the strawberry drizzle was good. I definitely recommend Monterrey.
I don't know what happened, we've gone here many times, but the food was so bad this time that I couldn't eat it and I'm not a foodie. The queso, the beans, the rice, etc were really gross.

Always get great service and food. Never had a bad experience here. I really like the salsa and chip's as well. I eat here a least twice a month.
