I happened into Nonna Maria's by accident, and I'm very happy about it. It is a small Italian market and deli. I ordered an eggplant parmigiana sandwich, and it is much better than the one I make for myself at home. The staff is friendly, and the store is very clean. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I'm an Italian jersey girl and have been searching for some tastes from home. The place is well decorated, nice selection of items, and my God the sandwich!!! I got the godfather and it was the best sandwich I have ever had!!! They're a little pricy, but if everything else is as good as that sandwich...well worth every penny!! Highly recommend this place!

Great place for lunch. Tried their meatball sub and chicken cutlet sandwich, both were stuffed with fresh ingredients on good bread. It is a small place with only four booths and a few outdoor tables but luckily we didn’t have an issue finding a spot. Will be back!

It was crowded when I had the opportunity to visit the other week shortly after 1 pm. A number of the board specials had already sold out. Luckily, I managed to get the final meatball parm sandwich. It was excellent! similar to those I grew up with in the north. I'm happy Nonna Maria's authentic Italian food has filled a need in Matthews. Oh, and did I also mention that the black and white cookies are authentic? Visit them and help out a little company. eager about my upcoming visit.

We have loved our food each time we have been here! In one occasion one sandwich was left out of our order but we called and they had it ready to go for us to swing by and pick it up. The staff is always friendly and it’s a nice, authentic environment. Definitely recommend ?
